Vintage Roaring Lion Statue – Life Size. This lion is believed to be hand painted plaster over fiberglass. It has a solid bottom but is hollow inside. No signature or date was found and age is unknown. He has a beautiful patina with crackle in the paint as seen. Measures approximately 39″ long x 14″ wide x 18 high and weighs 23 pounds 12 ounces unpackaged. There is damage on the back end on the tail and a chip of the fiberglass missing with some cracks around it as well (see last two pictures). Previous owner tried to glue it back in place but even with the cracks and damage, it is still solid. There is some paint loss and scratch marks. Listen – you can almost hear him ROAR!
