It portrays a family of 6 Rat Terrier dogs. Most of the family is inside a barn, but one little guy is rushing in, with a rat in it’s mouth. There’s a food dish off to the side. Framed, it measures 20 1/2″ x 12 1/2″. In the bottom, right corner are what looks to be initials of the artist, but I’m not certain. You can see this in photo #11. The back has a wire hanger, and that white canvas patch is an old repair. You can see the front of that repair in photo #’s 5 and 6. There is over all crackling in the paint, which you can see in the close up’s. The frame is made out of wood and painted gold. This wonderful painting most likely dates back to the 1800’s. It’s quite unusual and display’s great. Please take a moment to look at my other auctions. I will be listing more litho’s and paintings of kittens and puppies.
