Great antique folk art decoy this primitive guy has loads of charm he comes with this antique milking stool a great display tighter. He is a working decoy so lots of wonderful wear bottom has a crack which is normal in these decoys but it is stable he is 13 long with old tack eyes really a special little guy. The old milking stool has orig. Early bitter sweet red paint top surface is worn down with wonderful smooth patina. Stool is nice and level. The item “Antique wooden decoy with milking stool orig. Up for consideration is this Early Wooden Sherwin Williams Daugherty Bros. Looks to of been made into a lid of some kind. Has a handle mounted to bottom middle. Lettering and graphics has a great Patina only time and weather give. One end looks to of been slightly trimmed down. Has some wear as you can see but still very cool. Wonderful painted wooden folk art pointing hand sign. This is a solid piece of wood that was carved and painted to point you in the right direction. This form is very cool and is a custom design for some purpose. Found in New England the old paint surface is wonderful. The hand is mounted on an iron folk art stand and is all original. Antique 19th C PA Wooden PAINTED Folk Art BIBLE Document Valuables BOX CHEST. Antique 19th C PA Wooden PAINTED Folk Art BIBLE Document Valuables BOX CHEST- Dated 1848 – An antique wooden valuables or document box. It is made of PA wood and is heavy in weight and has very nicely crafted details- this is a box that was made by a country craftsman. There is some wear to the painted surface as expected and it has a nice history of age and good painted surface or patina. It is difficult to describe the color of the paint. It is a grayish greenish hue but looks different in different light. The color you see in person may be different than the one you see in the photos as photography does not always show the exact hue. It has a nice painted surface any way you look at though. It is dated 1848 on the bottom of the box (see 2nd and 6th photo). It has remnants of the original leather handles and nails on the sides of the box- we left as found. The lock inside is a very old replacement and there are handmade wire cotter pin type hinges (see 11th photo) and there is a molding on the back that was attached to support the lid as it is opened (see 8th photo). It is made with Square Nails. It is a wonderful box. It measures approx 7 12/16″ wide X 13.5″ long and approx 6.75 tall. View my other auctions for additional fine period items. A Windsor chair is a chair built with a solid wooden seat into which the chair-back and legs are round-tenoned, or pushed into drilled holes, in contrast to standard chairs, where the back legs and the uprights of the back are continuous. The seats of Windsor chairs were often carved into shallow dish or saddle shape for comfort. We are pleased to offer this Antique Miniature Painted Decorated Handmade Wooden Windsor Spindle Rocking Chair from New England, circa 1820 to 1840. The Antique Miniature Rocking Chair was decorated by the Best New England traditional red paint with a band of gold that adorns the wooden seat front. The painted surface has an alligator finish as seen on the spindles (see photos). The Windsor Rocking Chair is a perfect darling miniature size and can sit table top being 14 1/2 inches in height and is 8 inches at the widest. The Antique Windsor Miniature Rocking Chair has a classic spindle shape with the rockers and spindles being strong and sturdy. There is an old strong repair on the shaped wooden seat that adds character and authenticity to the early rocker. A closer look will reveal a few soft puppy bite indentions on one of the antique rockers. These all are beautiful characteristics of use and age and does not diminish the beauty of this early miniature that is well over 150 years. The Antique Windsor Miniature Rocking Chair is in strong and sturdy condition with age appropriate wear and patina. They just do not get any more endearing than this classic New England Miniature. 18 1/2 Inches High, 13 Inches Wide, and 13 Inches Deep. 1880s miniature painted horse pull toy with bright orange painted base. All wood, this horse is all hand carved, most likely New England. The surface is excellent, completely untouched with a wonderful patina. Measures only 5.5 tall. Base is 5.5″ long and 2.5″ wide. What a fun sign, painted solid wood with an old worn surface. The one side that faced the weather is more faded than the other, as would be expected. The shape is great as is the detail of the painted surface. I think next to Pennsylvania, New Jersey might have the most roadside stands and markets. And Jersey corn is almost as good as PA’s. Uh oh, gonna get some comments. A great piece of Americana and folk art. The sign is 45″ long x 12″ high x 3/4 thick and has two iron loops to hang it by. Got this from a guy from New Jersey in a field, how appropriate. Like us on face book.
