The Red Bird is just loose from the base. The toes of each bird are painted on the wooden base. Each piece is signed on the bottom.. Wonderful old tattoo framed flash art. Hand drawn and painted folk art. Really nice and in great condition. Has some small tears on back of frame paper. Measures 15 1/2″ high by 19 1/2″ wide. Tattoo sheet measures 9 1/2″ by 14″. Hard to tell exactly because the sheet is under the mat. Tattoos shown are mostly patriotic, see photos. Back has pencil marking as follows: From a shop in Fall River, Mass. We do still try to keep them at a minimum. Vintage Folk Oil Painting on Canvas-RAT TERRIER DOGS-Mother & 5 Puppies with Rat

It portrays a family of 6 Rat Terrier dogs. Most of the family is inside a barn, but one little guy is rushing in, with a rat in it’s mouth. There’s a food dish off to the side. Framed, it measures 20 1/2″ x 12 1/2″. In the bottom, right corner are what looks to be initials of the artist, but I’m not certain. You can see this in photo #11. The back has a wire hanger, and that white canvas patch is an old repair. You can see the front of that repair in photo #’s 5 and 6. There is over all crackling in the paint, which you can see in the close up’s. The frame is made out of wood and painted gold. This wonderful painting most likely dates back to the 1800’s. It’s quite unusual and display’s great. Please take a moment to look at my other auctions. I will be listing more litho’s and paintings of kittens and puppies. Wonderful pair of hand carved & painted birds that were found in New Hampshire. The stands appear to be newer then the birds, but make a great way to have the birds upright. The birds are apprx 8-1/2long and including the stands they are apprx. I believe at a later date, although not recently, the red paint was added. If you look at the last picture you can see what is under it. The heads are original. The pair is quite wonderful especially the one with his head turned more to the side. This is i’m guessing (post ww2) vintage tattoo flash art board pressed between what looks to be plate or safety glass (heavy) it appears to be ww2 era from the designs represented seabees, paratroopers ect.. That said you will get as ifound it! Perhaps someone out there will recognize this art as to who done it!! Anyway its what is is it shows some age it measures 20 by 24 inches on the backside you can see some cardboard and some white paper inside im again guessing to give it a tight fit or???? These appear to be individual pieces cut out and layed out on felt for the purpose of display or example of work from a tattoo parlor!! As this is pretty heavy i’ll wrap it up real nice so you’ll get it intact! It’s vintage it’s very cool! And i appreciate your interest! Vintage Two Sided Metal Tilt-A-Whirl Carnival Sign Circa 1950’s An original double sided Tilt-A-Whirl carnival sign from the 1950’s. Hand painted on metal, this sign shows the wear and tear from years of use traveling the carnivals and fairs of 60 years ago. I have another sign listed from this same traveling carnival. Sellner, a woodworker and maker of water slides, invented the Tilt-A-Whirl in 1926, at his Faribault, Minnesota, home. Over the next year, the first 14 Tilt-A-Whirls were built in Herbert’s basement and yard. In 1927, Sellner Manufacturing opened its factory in Faribault, and the ride debuted that year at the Minnesota State Fair. Satisfaction guaranteed, original and as represented.
