Small Antique Sailor Made Hand Painted Swordfish Folk Art Childs Sword NR.. Tonight I will be listing three Antique Sailor Made Swordfish Swords. All three are fresh to the market and were bought together, however I have decided to list them each separate. Most likely made for a child this 29 ¼” long Sword including the Mahogany hand carved wood handle, has a 24″ long bill. One side has a large blue Swordfish painting as well as a nautical Red Triangle Flag design near the wood hand guard. The other side has the same red triangle flag along with a gold ships wheel, and the whole swordfish bill has a golden, orange shellac finish. The handle is tight and not moving but there is some chipping to the point. That is the only problem with this antique, Folk Art Painted Swordfish Sword. Original Antique, Sailor Made, Folk Art Painting Swordfish Sword, NR.. Tonight I will be listing three Antique Sailor Made Swordfish Swords. All three are fresh to the market and were bought together, however I have decided to list them each separate. Measuring 37 ¾” long including the fancy hand carved wood handle this Antique Swordfish Sword has a 31 ¼” long bill. One side has a large blue Swordfish painting as well as a nautical Rope design along the wood insert near the handle and edges. There is some very minor paint flecking here and there and the handle is strong and not moving. If you look closely you will see the rope is accented with a gold paint and this same gold paint is on the wood carved handle. The tip has a little chip but that is the only problem with this Antique Folk Art Painted Swordfish Sword, and to make sure it sells it is listed with No Reserve.. Antique 19thC American Sailor Made Folk Art Nautical Painted Decorated Wood Box

Antique 19thC American Sailor Made Folk Art Nautical Painted Decorated Wood Box.. Constructed from white pine, this 19. Century Folk Art Box is constructed with small cut-nails. It measures 12″ long by 5″ tall by 8 wide. On the front are the initials “BI” and on the top is a miniature seascape painting with a sailboat and lighthouse. On either side of the box is a small painting of a naval Cutlass and a Cap & Ball Musket. These paintings are on a faux grain painted panel with a fine pinstriped border. The condition of the paint is excellent but there is a curved ring on the top where something round was placed. There are no other problems or restorations to the original folk art painted surface. Inside still retains its original bright, tangerine orange velvet. The bottom probably had a removable tray. We are listing this sailor made Folk Art Painted Box without any reserve.
