Wonderful antique primitive folk art simple country landscape painted on wood board. This pastoral oil painting depicts a rural scene with brown cows in the fore ground with a road leading to a farm house on a hill. This piece of 19th c American folk art measures 14 1/4″ wide X 8 1/2″ high X approximately 3/4 deep. The painting is unsigned. Found in Shelby County Ohio many years ago. Very good antique condition. Several horizontal splits in the wood board. Also, some nail holes in the top of the frame, as pictured.
