This is a poignant ex voto imported from Mexico City where it was made by Luis Vilchis of the famous retablero family. It has been hand painted on tin as is traditional and features the image of a transgender man having rear-end implants so that he looks more like a woman. There is an image of the Virgin above and the writing thanks her for helping him to have this successful surgery. This work is signed by Luis and measures approximately 12″ in width by 10″ in height.
