An awesome naive folk art painting that captures a bit of Texas roadside Americana with its depiction of Peter’s Barbeque in Ellinger, Texas, which is a regular stop for many people travelling Highway 71 while on the way between Austin from Houston. It’s a popular and iconic eatery to this day. This painting captures it as it looked a few decades ago (although it hasn’t changed much)! The artist, Sandra Winkler, portrays this iconic landmark in her own unique style showing the view from the side of Highway 71.
