Up for sale is a high quality antique handmade wooden Folk Art cigar humidor box. It’s made with exquisite detailing throughout out of dense wood and has a leather wrapped domed lid wrapped in leather. The leather is painted with a figural knight scene and fastened with large brass studs. The box is also painted on each side with gorgeous design done in rich color. It has dimensional mounted cold painted praying figures on each corner along with 4 outward facing lions. The handle pivots up and down on a ball joint exposing the hidden key lock underneath. It opens on a hinge and features a removable handmade toleware box that has a compartment for a humidor block under the lid. The box is in nice condition, has acquired a lovely patina from age, and measures 14 1/2 inches long by 12 1/2 inches wide by 11 inches tall. BIO: Michael has won many honors with his work which has been exhibited in New York, Denver, and Atlanta. This is a really fun Extra Large Size Dias de los Muertos wood Retablo / Shadow Box. The edges are all hand painted and there is a lot going on inside and outside this box. This extraordinary shadow box was made by a talented artist, Arturo Becerra Acco, from Mexico City. It measures; 18 1/4 inches tall by 12 1/4 inches wide and 2 3/4 inch deep. Antique 1880’s New England Early American Folk Art Child’s Sled. The Fantastic Early American Folk Art Child’s Sled is painted Red with Yellow Pin Striping & White Daisy Style Flowers. In the center are Two (2) Birds sitting on a Branch with Cherries. The Sled is Oak with Metal Runners over an Oak Framework. The Side Boards are Pegged. Don’t miss the chance to own this fantastic example of Early American Folk Art! USED CONDITION: There are the normal scruffs & scratches to the sled due to lots of use. There is a split lengthwise in the red body of the sled. There are pencil markings on the underneath side of the body. The split has been glued. The wood runner on one (1) has been broken & glued in two (2) spots at the upright post. The other runner has additional metal attached to both sides of the wood runner at the last upright post. There are some chips of wood missing & hairline cracks here & there. There are several holes in the body that do not go clear through the wood. The red paint is worn & missing in spots. Approximate Measurements: 32″ x 11.5″ x 11.5. If there is something specific you need to know, please ask questions! Condition: Used condition with wear consistent with age & use.
