Antique Folk Art horse pull toy ca. Stands 19 1/8 tall as seen. Weighs about 11 pounds. Horse alone is 16 7/8 tall, 20 1/2 long, about 5 wide. Base is 8 3/4 wide, 20 3/4 long and 1 thick. Very fine late 19th century carved wood horse pull toy. Original leather saddle , missing stirrups. Most of the reins are also missing but still has. Four metal tacks and a leather strip behind the ears. Original black finish accentuated with white at the ankles and face. Plus a yellow outline around the saddle. Has a beautifully carved flowing mane on the right side. Real horse hair tail. Base is a single piece of 1 thick oak with cut outs for the four wooded wheels. It has a small remnant of the leather pull at the front. A few minor scuffs. Tip of its left ear was broke off and glued back on. More photos on request. Found in central Iowa. This will be carefully packed in a large box. Measuring roughly 15″ x 26″ x 26.
