I absolutely love this antique, hand painted wedding chest! The trunk is probably made of solid pine wood, has two hinges and two iron handles. It has been painted in a deep and dark forest green color. This wedding chest is still solid and sturdy, but in timeworn condition; there are old woodworm holes, traces of chipped and flaky paint, scuffs, scratches, paint loss, cracks, dings and dents. On the front left side corner, there is a small piece of wood missing and the top of the chest has a large crack. A part of the original lock is still in place. This marriage chest is full of character and measures 33.1″ long x 15″ wide x 13 tall (84 cm x 38 cm x 33 cm).
