Set in a reeded and ebonised frame with pressed brass decoration. Maurice Quentin de La Tour was a was a French Rococo portraitist who worked primarily with pastels. 5 September 1704 17 February 1788. The actual imagery its self was taken from a etching by John Kay 1813. The back has been restored at a later date and the label been re applied. Circa 1860 in age. 25cm by 19.5cm.
