AAFA ANTIQUE FOLK ART WOOD STEPBACK CABINET CUPBOARD ORIGINAL OXBLOOD RED PAINT. Up for sale is this fabulous old primitive cabinet or cupboard. It’s a nice old stepback cabinet. It’s a solid single-door cabinet below with two shelves above. We don’t know how old it is, but it looks early 1800’s to us! The cabinet has beautiful oxblood red paint. This old cabinet is a survivor. The back is made from four boards and has square nails as you can see in the pictures. The door works nicely and and wooden thumbturn to hold it shut and a wooden knob to open it. The hinges are old and may not be original to the piece. Whether or not they are original they’ve been moved over time and there are a number of holes where the hinges used to be. It’s a wonderful dry wood and is oxblood red in color with old worn paint. The paint appears to be all original on the front and one side. The other side and back are not painted. The front paint is dry, worn, rubbed, scraped, chipped, nicked, edge. The inside looks all original with great patina too! There are old newspapers inside that may have been used to line the shelves at one point. This is everything you’d expect to see from an old survivor cabinet like this! What a great look!! We don’t know the age or origin of this cabinet but we do know that it’s special!! Please see photos for accurate detail and description. The pictures are pretty good for the color, especially the close-up ones. It’s a great old cabinet/cupboard!! The cabinet measures 72.5″ H x 37.5″ W at the base and 39.5″ W at the middle shelf x 13.75″ D at the bottom. We can also recommend a couple of shippers. This is a great cabinet! AAFA EARLY FOLK ART ANTIQUE WALL SHELF ORIGINAL WHITE PAINT SQUARE NAILS. Up for sale is this wonderful one of a kind wall shelf. It’s old, its paint is wonderfully crackled and alligatored. It’s wood, and it appears to be the original old paint. It is white with wood color, beige, green and even a few blue undertones. The white paint is very old. It’s got edgewear and paint chips / missing paint but it’s adorable with lots of age and patina! The supports are nicely scalloped as you can see in the pictures. On the back, the little scallops are held in to the back board with little square nails. On the front, there are a number of places where they put holes through the face board to hold it to the wall. All of this just adds such wonderful character to this shelf! On the top, there are two newer eye hooks as you can see in the pictures. These could easily be unscrewed if you don’t want them. This is truly a one-of-a-kind item. The shelf measures 48″ L at the top and 43″ L along the back x 8.75″ H x 8″ D. The wood on the top is 1 thick. We don’t know the age of this item. There are nicks, scrapes, edge wear, paint loss, fading, dings and worn paint as you can see in the pictures but nothing you wouldn’t expect from an item of this age. Imagine this on the back of a chuck wagon as settlers moved across the country!! Stop for lunch and break out the portable dry sink! It’s a nice size. It’s a wonderful dry, crackled, soft mustard color with blue, red, grey, cream and wood undertones. Please see photos for the best description and accuracy. The dry sink has a lid on it that is removable. It is not attached to the dry sink. There are also two holes and a crack in the lid of the dry sink as you can see in the pictures. You could use this as a center piece on your table and it would give you a great look. Leave the lid off and fill it up with wonderful greens or pumpkins or Christmas items. The paint appears to be all original and is dry, worn, rubbed, scraped, chipped, nicked, edge worn and patina-ed! There are also some cracks in the wood from age. There’s some damage on the right side where the wood was damaged. Also at that point, you can see one of the large heavy duty square nails. There are a lot of square nails in this piece. This is everything you’d expect to see from an old survivor cabinet like this! What a great look!! It’s an old dry sink and you can see that there’s even two drains / holes on the left side in the bottom. We took a close up picture of this. There are a lot of old rusty nails as you can see in the pictures. The paint has some edge wear, scrapes, patina, fading, variation of color, wood showing through, chipping and nicks. Please see photos for accurate detail and description. The pictures are pretty good for the color, especially the close up ones. It’s a great dry sink! The dry sink measures 32.5″ L x 22″ D x 6.5″ H without the top and 7.5″ H with the top. The top is 7/8 thick wood. We regularly put up new items so check out our other items. Beautiful and interesting hand-carved cat. My aunt had it for many, many years. It measures 14″ long, 7 ” tall, and 3 3/4 deep. In picture # 5 you can see clearly that there is a chip off the paint and then a crack. The crack that you see is a crack in the paint, but not a break in the cat itself. The cat has not been broken or glued. The paint is merely cracked from old age. It is a very beautiful and graceful shape. The colors are lovely and the eyes are mesmerizing. ANTIQUE DENTAL ADVERTISING WOOD FOLK ART TRADE SIGN JONES MURPHY FLYNN. Up for sale is this old advertising trade sign. Jones Murphy and Flynn. All Major Fairs Visited Yearly. Safe, Sure and Painless. We don’t know the age of this sign, or its origin. It’s interesting to say the least! It has a bead board back that’s aged and very dark brown / black. It has a little metal hook up at the top in the middle. The front of the sign is brown with yellow letters and red shadowing. There’s a man holding a pair of pliers in his hand with a green top coat and a black top hat. The man is raised off the sign and is three-dimensional. The edge of the sign has edgewear, paint loss, chunks of paint missing and other issues. It measures 36 inches high by 24 3/4 inches wide at the bottom and approximately 2 1/4 inches thick.
