Early Aafa Antique Folk Art Wood Firkin Original Sage Green Paint Pantry Box

EARLY AAFA ANTIQUE FOLK ART WOOD FIRKIN ORIGINAL SAGE GREEN PAINT PANTRY BOX. Up for sale is this wonderful old firkin!! Some people call them sap buckets, pantry boxes, flour buckets or grain measures!! This one has a nice old sage / light olive green color to it!! It has what appears to be its original paint. This firkin measure is about 12. In diameter at the bottom and 10.5″ in diameter at the lid and 12″ high. This firkin is a nice size and is big in character!! The firkin has three bands around the bottom and two bands around the top of the firkin. The bands around the bottom are overlap bands and we don’t see any nails. There is one band around the lid also and it has small round nails that are dark. We don’t know if those are copper nails or metal, we’re not sure. Inside, it’s clean for its age and has some staining of green and purple as you can see. We’re not sure what that was about. The inside has a slight hickory or wood smell to it. On the outside is has some light fading, dry paint, edgewear, streaks, paint loss, paint chips, drips, nicks, staining. The paint on the wood knobs that hold the handle has alligatoring on it. The wood handle works nicely and the paint is mostly worn off. The lid rocks a little when on the firkin as the lid is just slightly warped but still fits nicely. The condition of this is exactly what you want to see in old true antiques! Please look at the photos for a more accurate description and detail and ask lots of questions if needed. Early 1800s Antique Folk Art Pennsylvania Dutch Side Chairs Wood Hand Painted

RARE SET OF 6 EARLY AMERICAN PENNSYLVANIA DUTCH SIDE CHAIRS CIRCA 1800’s HAND PAINTED. Up for sale is this amazing set of 6 Early American Pennsylvania Dutch chairs. They have turned legs and painted backs, seats and legs. They are a Hitchcock style chairs with hand-painted floral designs with yellow, green, black and faded white colors on the backs and they have painted seats and legs of white and yellow designs. All 6 chairs match. The stain on the chairs is a deep, rich brown color all nicely patina-ed. The back of the backs of the chairs are plain brown. There’s wear on the seats and one some of the edges where people rubbed over the years. We think these are from the 1800’s but they might be earlier, we’re not sure as we are not experts in the ages of things. The chairs are sturdy. Some of the back of the backs have some little scrapes and wear as you can see in the pictures. The seats show wear, variation in color. And nicks in the finish. Some of the footrests also show wear and loss of stain from rubbing shoes and feet on the rungs. Some of the rungs are just a little loose as you might expect from years of use. Have nicks, chips, edgewear and wonderful patina on them as you’d expect from chairs of this age! The chairs measure 33 inches H x 19 inches W at the backs (15.25 W at the seats) x 14 inches D. This Folk Art Piece was originally made sometime during the 1920’s, it was made by a friend of the family for the original owners grandfather for when he was a child. This piece was expertly crafted as you can tell especially with the animals and the the driver. There is some paint loss and the mans hat front is cracked. Original Blue Paint Antique Folk Art Aafa Wood Spoon Rack Holder Square Nails

ORIGINAL BLUE PAINT RARE ANTIQUE FOLK ART AAFA WOOD SPOON RACK HOLDER SQUARE NAILS, LARGE SIZE! Up for sale is this wonderful old spoon rack. It’s so rare to see a large one, and even. 25.75 L x 24.5 H x 7.75 D. It’s a nice blue and it’s worn and crackled in all the right ways. At the top shelf there is a place for a mortar and pestle. On that shelf there are spoon holder locations for 12 spoons. Then there’s another shelf and on that shelf there are another 12 spoon locations on the edge and 22 slots in the shelf for more spoons. Below that there is a wood bar that goes across the back. All in all it will hold 46 spoons. The paint is worn and faded and has some green undertones on one side. Underneath looks really old and aged as do the nails, of which some are square and some are round but all of them are rusty. The square nails are mostly on the front in the spoon holder areas. It has have some fading, crackling paint, edgewear, paint loss. On the back there are two newer brackets for which to hang it by. Annie Tolliver Outsider Folk Art painting Adam & Eve on wood. Size: 32″x 23″. Pink painting features Adam and Eve as a dark figured nude. In between the tree of life, with pink and blue birds. The couple, with white hair, slender arms outstretched, have red lips and tiny white teeth. Above is blue sky border. At bottom of painting. Annie Tolliver was born in Montgomery, Alabama. Her father, Mose Tolliver, was the first to influence her art. Annie wanted to paint like her father but later developed a style more her own. Her subjects have many more details such as tiny white teeth, delicate lace trim on the clothing, and pretty polished finger nails. She painted portraits of her father, her daughters with their bright pink hula hoops, her son gone fishing, or her nieces on a shopping spree. Her portraits and vivid images of nature and domestic home life are painted in house paint. Artist Annie Tolliver died March 13, 2018 after an extended illness. It is made of wood with four yellow blades and a pine tree for a tail. From the second half of the 20th c. It is in very good, weathered condition. It has been mounted on a newer wood base. The whirligig itself is 26 long. The blade is 18″ across and the man stands just over 8″ tall. As mounted it is 29″ long by 21″ high overall. This item may be available at a lower price. Antique handmade wood leather toleware painted cigar humidor Folk Art box trunk

Up for sale is a high quality antique handmade wooden Folk Art cigar humidor box. It’s made with exquisite detailing throughout out of dense wood and has a leather wrapped domed lid wrapped in leather. The leather is painted with a figural knight scene and fastened with large brass studs. The box is also painted on each side with gorgeous design done in rich color. It has dimensional mounted cold painted praying figures on each corner along with 4 outward facing lions. The handle pivots up and down on a ball joint exposing the hidden key lock underneath. It opens on a hinge and features a removable handmade toleware box that has a compartment for a humidor block under the lid. The box is in nice condition, has acquired a lovely patina from age, and measures 14 1/2 inches long by 12 1/2 inches wide by 11 inches tall.
