Hello, you are viewing my listing for an Antique Carrom Company Wood Game Board made in Ludington Michigan. There are multiple patent dates present with the latest showing 1902. This is a Double Sided Folk Art Painted Wood Game Board. There is a decal attached to the side that states that this is a No. This wood game board weighs 7.4 pounds and measures 28 and 1/2″ wide by 28 and 5/8″ tall by 1 and 1/2 thick. It is in good condition with some minor wear present. I do not see any breaks or repairs. There is a hook added to the one side in case you wanted to hang this on the wall for a wonderful folk art look. Please view all my photographs for further details. Please note all sales are final. This is a wicked cool folk original piece by Mitris that is quite large and heavy (30lbs). One of a kind trippy art that is sure to make a statement! Definitely attracts the free spirited type! This does have some damage on top of frame and a few small sticks are bent a bit, but all minor issues and hardly noticeable. The frame could still be disguised by just painting broken pierce black. Nobody would notice it. Please see all pics. Overall, this is a phenomenal deal for an original artist piece that hung out with the 20th Century masters and is collected around the world. (1920 – 2009) Great artist with a motley production, ranging from total abstraction to surrealist landscape, born in Latvia, Latvia, eastern country, he lived for several years in the region of Rouyn Noranda. His works are sought after by American and European collectors. His adopted region paid homage to him during his death, and we can find some paintings in buildings in Abitibi-Témiscamin, and many other locations around the world. Laimon Mitris is a remarkable, if little known artist. Born in 1920 in Latvia, he has spent the last five decades living in Quebec, almost all the time in Rouyn Noranda, Abitibi-Temiscamingue, and making amazing images in his unique style. Mitris’s palette often uses vibrant and vivid colors. He often cuts out many pieces of differents woods essence for supports, before painting them, and assembling them into multi-layered constructions. These suggest celestial bodies, microscopic life, futuristic cityscapes or totally abstract forms. SIZE: 28.5″ x 41″. EARLY AAFA FOLK ART ANTIQUE CARNIVAL GAMING WHEEL GAME OF CHANCE WOODEN BICYCLE WHEEL. The wheel itself is all original with some nicks and scuffs here or there. We’re guessing that this is from the early 1900’s but we don’t know. On one side it’s yellow with black letters and blue trim. On the other side, you can pretty much just see the yellow wood part. The numbers on the front side range from 1 to 120 and start with 1, 21, 41, 61, 81, and 101, then 2, 22, 42, etc. We don’t know what game this would have been but this old wheel, mounted on a bicycle rim has great character and charm! The wheel measures 31.5 across and weighs about 8.5 lbs. The bicycle wheel measures 25 across. The pins around the wheel are metal, rust, strong and even somewhat sharp if you catch them wrong. The paint on the wheel is crazed, alligator-ed, worn, scuffed, nicked, marked and patina-ed… Just the way we love it! The bicycle wheel and the spokes are rusty, crazed and scuffed. The outside rim of the bicycle wheel is wood… Which could date it from as far back 1869 when they started making bicycle wheels made from metal spokes and wooden rims. Later, the rims went to metal so it’s likely that at some point, someone took an old wheel and made this game wheel. We don’t know the age of this item but we wish it could talk! She is carved in jointed pine wood. Her face with red lips and piercing gaze is hand painted. Dark hair, white gloves and stockings are also hand painted. AAFA FOLK ART EARLY PRIMITIVE ANTIQUE OLD WOOD GREY ORIGINAL PAINT TOTE TRAY. Up for sale is this old antique tote with a handle. It’s wood and has splayed sides and a handle cut out on in the middle carry it by. It’s a low tray and has old grey paint with more paint remaining on the outside and a darker patine on the inside. You can see lots of wood color under the missing paint. On one end, near the handle, there’s a notch out of the end wood. Below the notch there’s another little hole. We’re not sure what these were for, perhaps a drain? , but they appear to have been intentional. There’s also a saw cut on this end where perhaps they started another notch and stopped. On the other end, right next to the handle there’s a slot. The nails are rusty but appear to all be round. There is a lot of edge wear, paint loss, nicks, scrapes, splatters, scratches, and dings. There is also a lot of iron spotting around the nails. On the bottom there is some green paint here and there. This looks to be something it may have been set in rather than paint that it was painted, but we’re not sure. All of these “issues” are just as you’d expect from an item of this age. 25.5 L x 12.25 W x 3.5 H to rim x 7.5 H to handle. It’s a very nice piece for your collection. Presented here for your enjoyment is this whimsical set of Erzgebirge Expertic carved wood celestial family figurines from Germany! These wonderful, whimsical pieces of wooden folk art have been made in the Erzgebirge forest region of Germany for at least a century, I believe. This vintage set dates to somewhere in the 1949 to 1990 production period as evidenced by the factory labels with the German Democratic Republic designation. The set of six range in size from 1 5/8 to 3 1/2 tall. The Moon and Sun are the proud parents of four little star children in varying sizes. They all have the cutest little faces! Each piece is hand painted. The colors are glorious, with the creamy paint applied smooth and glossy. The condition of the set is generally very good! Look closely and can see a tiny chip on the gold painted base of the sun, along with an even smaller flake on the back of the head. They are otherwise very minty!
