AMAZING AAFA 1800’S ORIGINAL PAINT YELLOW BLUE EARLY PRIMITIVE WOOD DRY SINK. Up for sale is this wonderful old primitive dry sink. It’s a nice sized two door cabinet with a shelf inside. It’s a wonderful dry, soft yellow color with blue and wood undertones. There is paint coming through the yellow paint. There is a wonderful blue paint on the inside of the doors which may indicate that the entire cabinet. May have been blue at one point and the outside yellow was the secondary color. Please see photos for the best description and accuracy. The paint appears to be all original and is dry, worn, rubbed, scraped, chipped, nicked, edge worn and patina-ed! There are also some cracks in the wood from age. This is everything you’d expect to see from an old survivor cabinet like this! What a great look! It’s an old dry sink and you can see that there’s even a drain / hole on the right side in the back. We took a close up picture of this. The doors open and the left door has a metal latch and loop to hold it shut. You could leave the doors open and display crocks, or firkins or other wonderful items. There are a lot of old rusty nails as you can see in the pictures. Also, there’s a crack in the left side that starts at the top but is still sturdy and strong. The paint has some edge wear, scrapes, patina, fading, variation of color, wood showing through, chipping and nicks. Please see photos for accurate detail and description. The pictures are pretty good for the color, especially the close up ones. It’s a great old cabinet / cupboard!! The cabinet measures 41.5 W x 18.5″ D x 29.75″ H. The well inside measures 40″ W x 17″ D x 4.75 H. We can also recommend a couple of shippers. This is a great dry sink! We regularly put up new items so check out our other items. Very interesting native Americans painting by mystery artist. See pics for complete details. It seems to have been folded for quite some time, then hung in the 1800’s (judging by crease shown in center and nails that hold painting to frame). Painting is in fair condition with missing paint flecks around edge, but an amazing and quite interesting piece of of native american history. Size is 22 X 34. I think I found a signature and year 24? But too hard to read name, see last pic. A professional cleaning could show much more detail. Another interesting thing I believe is the string on back is actually made from horse hair! Very unique and rare original folk Native American painting. Great one of a kind piece. This is a Folk Art / Primitive oil on canvas painting which was created c. (+) area – the gilded frame is also in very good condition with a few dings & scrapes – the c. 1880 Folk Art painting depicts a landscape where a two story colonial farmhouse is shown with its “ell” attachment perpendicular to the main house all of which leads to its attached two story barn – the buildings are painted in a light blue-gray color, & are close to a dirt road running alongside the buildings – to the right of the house is a paddock where one side is composed of a rock wall which stretches up a small hill – in the background, one can see a couple of outbuildings probably used to store farm implements – to the far right of the painting is a stream flowing by – it appears to be late summer or early fall as the trees are starting to turn to their fall colors – it is a wonderfully-peaceful & tranquil scene.
