This offering is for a mid 19th century hand painted folk art watercolor painting of a wooded river with a single rose with an unopened rose bud suspended above. The artwork measures app. 6.75″ by 8.25″. The work is not signed but was likely done by Gladys M Kesinger who signed another similar work that was acquired with this one. Please see our other listings for that artwork. The condition is used and lightly worn with some edge toning but it’s free of major damage. For sale is a President Abraham Lincoln Painted Portrait Oil on Wood Folk Art by H. Klink 73 in Used condition. This piece appears to be painted on an old table-top turned canvas. The wood has split over the years and does feel slightly loose if you wiggle it. This could be repaired. There are a few spots where the oil has started to “craze”. Some scuffs/scratches on the painting in different spots. There is a “makers mark” from the table-top that was painted over – located right next to his ear. The wood is damaged in 2 spots around the edges – see photos. This piece is “one of a kind”. Hand-painted on an old wooden table-top. President Abraham Lincoln without his beard. This offering is for an antique mid 19th Century Hand Painted Chair Crest Rail. The wooden crest rail has a wonderful floral paint decoration that includes three tulips at the left side. It looks like the current surface, while quite old, is over an earlier green paint but it has achieved a very nice surface and patina in it’s own right. The length of the rail is app. 15.75 and the height is app. 3.75 The condition is excellent with minor wear to the surface but no cracks, breaks or repairs.
