Mounted on black silk over wood board, trimmed with bullion bric-a-brac. Back is covered with paper (torn/stained), yarn tied across back to hang on the wall. Measures 20″ tall x 14″ across. This offering is for an antique mid 19th Century Hand Painted Chair Crest Rail. The wooden crest rail has a wonderful floral paint decoration that includes three tulips at the left side. It looks like the current surface, while quite old, is over an earlier green paint but it has achieved a very nice surface and patina in it’s own right. The length of the rail is app. 15.75 and the height is app. 3.75 The condition is excellent with minor wear to the surface but no cracks, breaks or repairs. Antique Norway Norwegian Tine or Tina Box Bride Box. A wonderful piece of Hand Painted Folk Art. Oval bentwood box or tine form, with lapped and glued sides. There is an arch handle on top. Painted with beautiful flowers, vines, and shapes. It says Do not cry, so shall you have your Tina in old Norwegian. This was used to carry baked goods. Could also be for trinkets and treasures. Box opens but is tight due to age. Be careful when opening. Box is approximately 6 x 3.5 x 3. There is a very light pencil mark on the bottom, which could be a name. I cant make it out. Antique Wood Carousel Style Rocking Horse Folk Art Hand Painted Leather Toy VTG

Offering this beautiful old folk art wooden horse. It is styled in the way of an antique carousel horse but is more of a traditional rocking horse size. There are some small holes on the bottom, presumably from posts, and I have a handful of metal and wood pieces (handles and stirrups, presumably), but no base. The saddle parts are felt, the ears and reins are leather, and the mane and tail are fine yarn. It has age-related wear as shown including splits in the wood where the legs meet the main body of the horse, spotting on the legs/flanks, and natural age-related deterioration to the felt. This displays very handsomely as-is but could also make a nice restoration project. Great colors for use as holiday decor! Measures about 19″ long across the body, 35″ long from the front to back hooves, and 20 tall.
