Colorful Garden Painting by Delia Reiss 8x8 Acrylic on Canvas Pop Art Naive Art
This wonderful bright colored artwork is a one-of-a-kind painting by Delia Reiss. The artwork is an acrylic painting on cotton canvas measuring 8 inches by 8 inches. The painting features a large colorful flower surrounded by smaller flowers and foliage. The artwork may be consideed naïve art, outsider art, or pop art. Perfect for any room of your choice. Has wire on the back- no frame needed! This painting is a unique addition to your art collection! In my artwork, I express life in a simple, and naive way. Working small comes naturally to me. This is convenient too- as it’s portable, and can be shared easily with others. My first exhibits were on the streets of Manhattan near the Museum of Modern Art against the wall of St. Thomas Church with their kind permission in the early 1980s. Shortly after that I was fortunate to sign with a long-term collector in Japan, a subsidiary of Sony Corporation. Which spanned over a decade. During this time, I was invited to Japan on three occasions for one-woman exhibitions throughout the country. The kick-off at Tokyo’s Maxim de Paris included dignitaries from the American Embassy. Presently my artwork is in a permanent collection in the famous Yamatsuri Mottaini Library in Fukushima prefecture. It is also in hundreds of private collections internationally.

Mixed media on cardboard. Approximately 5 in x 10.25 in (irregular sides). Warning: actual color of original painting may be different due to variations of screen settings and the fact the artist is color impaired. E9Art (aka eric) has been a typesetter, tire changer, the coffee dude, that pizza guy, and a full-time artist. Eric didn’t’discover’ art until he was in his 50s, partially due to the idea that he couldn’t be an artist being colorblind, and partially that he was raised in an environment where art was considered a waste of time because’art doesn’t put food on the table. Since his first art sale in 2014, he has been making up for lost time. E9art can be found on twitter, facebook, pinterest and tumblr. Presenting a truly unique and stunning landscape portrait of a port in Java in the 1600s. The naïve style, characteristic of reverse glass paintings has fantastic depth of color and intricate details. This is a beautiful one-of-a-kind artwork that will add interest and brighten any decor including an entryway, home office, den or child’s room. Measures approximately 23.5″ in length x 15.5″ in height; with the frame measures approximately 25 1/4″ x 17.5″. Painting is in excellent condition with vibrant colors and captivating details and no noteworthy flaws. Photos do not do justice to the brilliance of the colors which is hard to capture without getting reflection from the glass. Simple wood frame with a rustic reddish brown stain shows its age lending to a vintage look. You may want to reframe for a more updated effect. Metal loop in center of frame for easy hanging. Paper backing is wrinkled and glued to one side of cardboard backing. The reverse side of the cardboard backing reveals an Indonesian branded water box dated 1996 which gives an approximate time and place painting was framed. Painting may be older. Actual provenance is unknown as this was found at an estate sale. The painting is not signed as many paintings of this type are produced by anonymous, unskilled artists. About: Reverse glass paintings are a special form of folk art found in Indonesia that are both vibrant and charming. The artist paints an image on glass which is later viewed from the other side of the glass. The glass paintings are often produced by untrained or even anonymous artists and are characterized by eye-catching colours with strong forms in simple designs with one-dimensional perspectives. The glass protects the paint and gives it its characteristic smooth and shiny appearance. The result is incredible – the brilliance of the paint is incomparable, it shines through the glass with the most beautiful effect. Painting will be carefully packaged and insured for its sale price. Please review all photos as they are part of the description.
