Rare & Wonderful Vintage or Antique Eldred Wheeler Courting Mirror With Folk Art painted designs of sprigs of leaves that are heart shaped and flowers. The carved wooden decorative top is beautiful! There is the original Eldred Wheeler Cabinet Work Hingham, MA label on the rear of wooden backing of frame. Its a nice smaller size- measuring approx 13 5/8 tall x 6 7/8 wide with mirror being smaller. The mirror is 4 x 6. There is a leather strap hanger on back for wall display. Eldred Wheeler works are marvelous quality reproductions of 18th century antique furniture and accessories. Please SEE ALL PHOTOS! Condition is excellent, hardly any paint loss to mention and no chipping or splits in the wood. William Spratling Tin Mirror Picture Frame Mexico Folk Art Signed Rare

Offering this beautiful vintage William Spratling tin frame. It has a dramatically fluted design with leaf details at each corner. The tab on the hanger has Spratling’s stylized maker’s mark and Mexico. There is the usual age-related patina to the tin and some rust where the leaf sections are soldered on but this piece is otherwise very nice with no breaks, losses or repairs. Beautiful and rustic, we have a charming original primitive folk art picture or mirror frame with birch bark and twig accents throughout. Although we have obvious age and patina, this example is in fine condition with great integrity. We note some of the tiny little nails on the back side were never completely hammered down to the wood level… We will leave the decision to you to complete that task. It does not harm use, display or hanging. Solid wire assembly is in place, however, you could also remove and replace to change the direction of the piece for hanging should you choose to do so. Great original piece for cabin or rustic setting or decor! Exterior measures in at 14 & 1/2″ x 13″ with an interior back opening of 9″ x 7 & 1/2″.
