Antique 1700s original Jockey horse racing jumping Folk Art oil painting on wood

Up for sale is a rare antique 18th century original Jockey horse racing Folk Art oil painting on wood. It’s painted with thick rich colored oil paint and done with a lovely stylized approach. It is done on a thick wooden paneling with curved edges and is signed on the bottom right. The last photo shows the signature but is a bit hard to decipher. Measures 18 inches by 11 3/4 inches. Fabulous Early Aafa Antique Folk Art Dapple Toy Rocking Horse Original Paint

FABULOUS EARLY AAFA ANTIQUE FOLK ART DAPPLE TOY ROCKING HORSE ORIGINAL PAINT. Up for sale is this wonderful early rocking horse. He’s an amazing sideboard horse. He’s in great condition for his age. And, he has a nice happy look to him! He base measures 48.75 inches long by 12.5 inches wide at the bottom (widest part). He is 26.5 inches high to the top of his head. He’s a white and black dapple horse with a green base and a little red saddle. He has painted eyes and parts of his leather bridle. He also has little leather trimming around his tail behind the saddle. He’s all hand painted with tons of character! He was well played with over the years and has wear and patina you’d expect. He appears to have all original paint and it’s crackled and alligatored as you can see in the pictures. He has a wooden arched base. The base is in pretty good shape and rocks nicely. As you can see in the pictures, he has some areas where his paint has chipped or flaked off. Overall he shows very well and these “issues” add character and proof of age to him. As you’d expect, there are scuffs and paint loss, scrapes, scratches, nicks, dings, holes in the sideboards, cracks, seams, edge wear, smudges and patina! What a great look!! Antique Folk Art horse pull toy ca. Stands 19 1/8 tall as seen. Weighs about 11 pounds. Horse alone is 16 7/8 tall, 20 1/2 long, about 5 wide. Base is 8 3/4 wide, 20 3/4 long and 1 thick. Very fine late 19th century carved wood horse pull toy. Original leather saddle , missing stirrups. Most of the reins are also missing but still has. Four metal tacks and a leather strip behind the ears. Original black finish accentuated with white at the ankles and face. Plus a yellow outline around the saddle. Has a beautifully carved flowing mane on the right side. Real horse hair tail. Base is a single piece of 1 thick oak with cut outs for the four wooded wheels. It has a small remnant of the leather pull at the front. A few minor scuffs. Tip of its left ear was broke off and glued back on. More photos on request. Found in central Iowa. This will be carefully packed in a large box. Measuring roughly 15″ x 26″ x 26. Old Antique Vtg 19th C Folk Art Carved Horn Horse Shaped Figural Original Paint

This offering is for an antique 19th century comb carved in the shape of a running horse. The comb was carved from a single piece of horn and the decorations were hand painted. The horses back is carved with the comb section. The overall length is app. 5″ and it’s 3″ high. The horn section is app. The condition is excellent with light curving to the horn and minor wear to the decorations. The surface has a wonderful mellow patina and displays great.
