On verso there is an inscription “The Herr Baron one of the stud horses of the King of Bavaria” Tudie Dennis München 1881. It is oil on wooden board and is 30 by 28 cm. The painting has scratches mostly around the horse but there is one which starts above the horse mouth and going down. Sorry, the 3 digits of the date are a bit hard to read. We ghave had another look and we think it is 8 not 2 so it was painted in 1881. Up for sale is this fantastic vintage piece of outsider folk art painting, looks like it may be a theorem. It is signed on the border Mae Ellen Kane or Karse? I was not able to dig up any information in the artist. It looks to be pastels or chalk on linen. Its a very busy painting with tons going, there is a Native American settlement with teepees as well as a few on horseback with headdresses on. There are oxen carts, bears, an eagle, some hunters. A unique folk art Child’s horse tree swing. Made of wood with original paint. You could swing front and back on the swing. Very good used condition, missing peg for feet and hands but can hang nicely on a wall or used as a shelf. The swing is 38″ long x 35″ high and 2 3/4″ thick, the seat is 22 1/4″ long x 2 3/4 wide. 19TH CENTURY ANTIQUE EQUINE PAINTING SIGNED M. We’re delighted to offer for sale this wonderful 19th century antique equine painting by listed Vermont artist M. Slayton worked as an itinerant artist in Vermont commissioned by middle – upper class families painting animals, portraits, landscapes etc. The painting is well executed depicting a horse in a field with vegetation & nice blue sky. The painting is signed ME Slayton 1897 in the lower right corner. The painting is also dated 1975 on the back of the canvas. This was most likely done by a restorer who was either commissioned to repair the painting or clean it. Folk Art Child’s Rocking Horse. This is an authentic very old antique piece. Made of solid wood with a folk art painted plaster overcoat. Has a tacked on leather saddle seat. Rocker bars measure approximately 54″ long x 16-1/2″ across & the horse measures approximately 34″ high x 36″ long, leg to leg. Condition is antique & very very used with many losses & cracks to the plaster overcoat & old cracks & repairs to the rocker bars. Missing the right leather ear. Antique 1700s original Jockey horse racing jumping Folk Art oil painting on wood

Up for sale is a rare antique 18th century original Jockey horse racing Folk Art oil painting on wood. It’s painted with thick rich colored oil paint and done with a lovely stylized approach. It is done on a thick wooden paneling with curved edges and is signed on the bottom right. The last photo shows the signature but is a bit hard to decipher. Measures 18 inches by 11 3/4 inches.
