He began learning to make masks from his grandfather at the age of 8 and after 20 years Jorge has perfected his art. His work is based on traditional masks made of the copal tree. His masks are one of a kind. The horns are animal horns. You can add wall mounting hardware or just sit it on a piece of furniture. The mask is hand carved and hand painted with automotive paint. This makes the colors of the masks very bright. The mask has removable horns. Feel free to add glue to the horns to hold them in place. Refers to the making and use of masks for various traditional dances and ceremony in Mexico.
