Aafa Antique Early Folk Art 1800s Dry Original Paint Mustard Wood Dry Sink

AMAZING AAFA 1800’S ORIGINAL PAINT DRY MUSTARD EARLY PRIMITIVE WOOD DRY SINK HEAVY! Up for sale is this wonderful old primitive dry sink. It’s a large-sized two door cabinet with a shelf inside. It’s a wonderful rich Primitive dry mustard color (spicy brown mustard) with red and wood undertones. The two sides, back and bottom inside are all tongue and groove wood pieces. The bottom ones inside can be a little loose sometimes but could easily be nailed in to place if you wanted to do that. The paint appears to be all original and is dry, worn, rubbed, scraped, chipped, nicked, edge worn and patina-ed! On the right, left and back sides you can see where there were hinges at one point, possibly for doors that would have closed over the top. This is everything you’d expect to see from an old survivor cabinet like this! What a great look! It’s an old dry sink. The doors open and one door has an old metal latch with a roll over hasp on it that goes in to a metal piece on the right door. You also could leave the doors open and display crocks, or firkins or other wonderful items. There are a lot of old rusty nails as you can see in the pictures. Many of the nails are square nails and we took a close up on the backsplash. They are small, but they are square. Then, also on the back, there are a number of round nails in to the bead board backing. On other places on the sink there are mostly round nails. The paint has some edge wear, scrapes, patina, fading, variation of color, wood showing through, chipping and nicks. Please see photos for accurate detail and description. The pictures are pretty good for the color, especially the close up ones. It’s a great old cabinet / cupboard!! The cabinet measures 37.25 W x 25.25″ D x 33″ H to the front edge. The well inside measures 35″ W x 22.5″ D x 7.25 H. It’s very heavy and the wood is very thick, 1-1/8 thick!! The doors are a full 3/4 thick. We can also recommend a couple of shippers. ANTIQUE SKITTLES GAME WITH 10 PINS AND 3 BALLS YARD BOWLING GAME. Up for sale is this wonderful old game. Think back to a time of yesteryear when life was simpler and time was spent in the backyard instead of staring at a device all day. Back when playing in the yard was the thing of the day! The game comes with 10 pins and 3 balls and appears to be very complete and has been well played with. The colors are fabulous and are a bright reddish orange with black bands. Each pin has a little hole in the bottom of them and a little wood plug in the top. The plugs are missing on two of the pins and broken on two others, but the rest are all there. The pins and balls have paint nicks, chips, dings, wear, edgewear, scrapes, scuffs and patina. 11.75 inches high by 2 1/8 inches in diameter. The balls are 3 inches in diameter. Early Aafa Antique Folk Art Cupboard White Pie Safe Punched Tin Old Paint Wood

OOAK ANTIQUE PRIMITIVE 19th CENTURY WHITE PIE SAFE WITH PUNCHED TIN ORIGINAL PAINT. Up for sale is this amazing old pie safe. This is the real deal!! It’s old, it’s Primitive and it’s fabulous! It’s a rare, one-of-a-kind white, punched tin pie safe. It has two doors on top, a drawer, and two doors on the bottom. The upper doors have rusty and faded punched tins as you can see. The cabinet is mostly a white /off-white color but there are undertones of wood, and light green or blue. What paint is left is alligatored and worn. It measures 70.5″ H x 37.75″ W at the main cabinet by 14.75 D not including the top trim or knobs. There are cabinet and drawer pulls and all of them are brown and mushroom style as you can see in the pictures. The two on the drawer are the same but the others are similar but different. The upper one on the door has a washer on the inside as you can see in the pictures. On the cabinet doors, it has a piece of wood / thumb turn to hold the doors shut on both of the right doors as you can see in the pictures. The bottom thumb turn looks newer and has a newer screw. There are two shelves in the upper part and one shelf in the bottom part. The inside of the upper doors are white and tin while the bottom doors are tan painted wood. We don’t know the age of this pie safe but most of them are from before 1900. You can see the wear, age and patina on the wood, wow!! There are scratches, nicks, chips, surface rust, paint loss, hand rub wear, edge wear, paint marks, swirls, and patina. These are all things you want to see in a true antique – we love it!! The hinges are little rusty shaker style hinges and the upper right door, upper hinge has nails in it that get a little loose with wear and then the door gets a little loose. You can just tap these nails back in and you’re good for a while more. The sides have a wonderful whale tail boot jack and there’s a crack in the center of the tail developing. They are still sturdy but you can see the crack. The back is made of three boards and two battens and there is an old metal repair on the left side. The back has old rusty round nails and black iron spots from the nails on the wood. On the left side there’s a gap at the edge and we took a picture of that. The top is not painted and has warped a little toward the front on both sides. We took a picture of that also. It’s a very nice piece for your collection. Thank you for looking at this item. AAFA ANTIQUE PRIMITIVE GRAIN MEASURE DOUGH BOWL ORIGINAL PAINT RED SQUARE NAILS. Up for sale is this wonderful oxblood red grain measure or dough bowl!! Can you imagine filling this with grain and then going out to feed the animals and pulling the little slide up and letting some grain out for them? Wow, check out the great look to this one!! It has what appears to be its original paint that is old and dry as well as worn and patina-ed. It’s a dry aged oxblood red. This grain measure is very large and would make a statement centerpiece on your table! 9.75 inches long by 29.5 wide and is about 7.5 inches high at the highest point. The sides are curved in and one end has the slide gate that allows you to lift up the slide and let some grain out. It has old rusty square nails holding it together, how cool! It has some fading, crackling paint, edgewear, streaks, paint loss, paint loss, paint chips. The condition of this is exactly what you want to see in old true antiques! EARLY AAFA ANTIQUE FOLK ART APOTHECARY GENERAL STORE SQUARE NAILS ORIGINAL PAINT. Up for sale is this fabulous old and early primitive APOTHECARY CABINET or cupboard. It’s a nice old stepback and was likely a general store sales display cabinet. It’s an open cabinet above with three shelves above and 30 drawers down below. We don’t know how old it is, but it looks early 1800’s to us! It has big old SQUARE NAILS throughout and a wonderful ORIGINAL (old) GRAY PAINT with tons of character and patina. The cabinet measures 72.25″ H x 80.25″ W x 17.5″ D at the bottom and 8″ D at the top. This old cabinet is a survivor. The top part comes off the bottom part and is screwed in to the two pieces of wood near the back of the bottom piece. It has old slotted rusty screws that hold it together. The back at the top is made from five large boards. The back at the bottom is made from ten tongue and groove boards. There’s some damage on the back from critters, a tool or something. It has sat in our garage for two years and there was no evidence of any activity so whatever did the work on this was long gone. There are big gnarly SQUARE NAILS on the back and big iron spots on the wood as you can see in the pictures. Near the bottom it has a flared out trim. You can see in the pictures where a chunk of this is missing. There are also cracks in the trim. We recommend you put a piece of wood under one end when lifting the cabinet to help keep the trim from breaking. On the bottom, you can see the big gnarly SQUARE NAILS. It’s a wonderful dry wood and is a beautiful gray in color with OLD WORN PAINT. The paint appears to be all original to the cabinet. The top part of the right side does not have paint on it as you can see in the pictures. There are 8 drawers in each of the top three rows. The drawers are DOVETAILED on the sides as you can see in the pictures. The top row has one drawer that has three knobs but is one drawer. The middle knob on the drawer is darker and a different shape which likely means that it is not original to the piece. All the other knobs look original to us. A few of the knobs have nicks and chunks missing as you can see in the pictures. Here are little blocks of wood at the backs of the drawers that stop the drawers at the right spot. You can just open the drawers, move the wood back and then put the drawers back in. If you don’t move the cabinet around you shouldn’t have to mess with the little blocks. The back is not painted. The paint is dry, worn, rubbed, scraped, chipped, nicked, faded, edge. The inside is all original. On the shelves there are ring marks, stains, worn areas and PATINA. This is everything you’d expect to see from an old survivor cabinet like this! What a great look! We don’t know the age or origin of this cabinet but we do know that it’s special!! It is truly one-of-a-kind! We’ve not seen a nicer cabinet for sale online. Please see photos for accurate detail and description. Early Aafa Antique Folk Art Cabinet Cupboard Square Nails Orig Blue Paint Repair

EARLY AAFA ANTIQUE FOLK ART CABINET CUPBOARD SQUARE NAILS ORIG BLUE PAINT REPAIR. Up for sale is this fabulous old primitive cabinet or cupboard. It’s a nice old cupboard with wonderful color. It’s a two-door cabinet with three shelves inside. We don’t know how old it is, but it looks early 1800’s to us! The cabinet is a beautiful worn, chipped and patina-ed Federal blue. The cabinet measures 64.5″ W (without top trim) x 48.75″ H (with top trim) x 17.75 D (without top trim). This old cabinet is a survivor. The back is made from thirteen tongue and groove boards as you can see in the pictures. There are big square nails along with other, smaller square nails, and some round nails too. You can see the iron spotting from the nails on the wood. There’s also a couple of repairs on the lower right along with rough wood as you can see in the pictures. It’s a wonderful dry wood and is a beautiful blue in color with old worn paint. The paint appears to be all original on the front and right side (the right side is mostly painted but some wood only). The left side is just wood (no paint) as you can see in the pictures. The right side has the top trim while the left side does not. The left side may be where it was built in since it is unpainted. The back is not painted. The paint is dry, worn, alligatored, rubbed, scraped, chipped, nicked, faded, edge. On the front, in the middle, the board there is loose and has a mouse hole in it. You could probably add a nail to fix that up. The hardware is old and the knobs are nicely detailed. You twist the knobs to release them from their catches. The left knob does not “spring back” as much as the one on the right does as it’s likely a bit more worn. The top is a darker brown color and has some cracks in the wood as shown in the pictures. The inside looks all original with great patina too! There are ring marks, stains, worn areas and lighter areas. You can see the repair at the bottom in the middle where a board was added. There is also a metal repair on the left side on the middle shelf. This is everything you’d expect to see from an old survivor cabinet like this! What a great look! Aafa Folk Art Antique Primitive Bucket Bench Wood Old Blue Paint Square Nails

AAFA FOLK ART ANTIQUE PRIMITIVE BUCKET BENCH WOOD OLD BLUE PAINT SQUARE NAILS. Up for sale is this wonderful one of a kind bucket bench. It’s old, it’s adorable and it’s a wonderful painted blue color with soft green undertones and lots of age and patina! There are two shelves that are nailed into the sides of the bucket bench as you can see in the pictures. The shelves are in good condition but the top shelf has a portion of wood missing, likely where a knot was, in the middle-left-center as you can see in the pictures. The right side of the top shelf has a small crack in it and on the left side one of the nails created a chip in the shelf and the chip is still there. We took a close-up of that area for you. The whole bucket bench is in good condition considering its age. The bucket bench measures 38″ W x 29-7/8″ H x 12-5/8 D (with the back board). The wood is almost exactly 1 thick, just slightly less. The sides both have cracks in them but they are still sturdy and have not split. The sides at the bottom have a nice rounded scalloped / bootjack to them and top edge is radiused. The back boards have circular saw marks as you can see in the pictures. There are a couple of places where the nails split the wood. There are mostly old square nails as you can see, but there are also some gnarly looking rusty old round nails. This is truly a one-of-a-kind item. We don’t know the age of this item but we think it’s from the 1800’s but you make the call. There are nicks, scrapes, small cracks, edge wear. Loss, paint, fading, dings and worn paint as you can see in the pictures but nothing you wouldn’t expect from an item of this age. We will do our best to answer your questions.
