Early 1900s Antique ORIG Wooden Baltimore Trade Sign Folk Art AAFA Hand Painted

Very Rare and early trade sign. Came out of a baltimore basement. Double sided, hand painted store front sign. This is an early handyman sign. Paint is better on one side, but both sides have same writing. Artist name on bottom (see last photo) marked S. I haven’t done any research to see if he was a known sign painter in baltimore or not. Sign measures 43.5″ Tall x 23″ wide (at widest area) x 1.5 thick. Has very early cast iron mount in middle, may have been more originally but I haven’t seen signs of mounting holes to prove that. Sign has some wear, but overall no flaking to paint and very solid. Paint is great, and it is a true Baltimore City sign. Antique Oil Painting LANDSCAPE Folk ART Birch Tree TWIG Frame M. REINUS c. 1900s

Here is a very interesting antique painting on wood, framed with a handmade folk art twig/tree surround frame. The entire piece measures 12 1/8 x 15 3/4 ins. The painting si oil on wood, that is placed or was originally slipped into the bottom of this frame, and then screwed-in from behind. The painting is in good condition, only some minor wear to the finish. It is signed M. Reinus, who appears to have been a Russian artist that painted landscapes. The frame is so unique, unsure what tree this is from , possibly a birch tree to mimic/match the birch trees in the landscape. I would date this painting to the early 1900s time period. 1900s Apothecary in original brown paint. Comes from Salem Mass. All wood except for the drawer bottoms which are tin. All drawers have brass pulls and are numbered as is the wooden base.
