This 15 tall (11 ¼ without base) middle to late 1700s carved and painted wood saint boasts wonderfully grungy, untouched surface with soot accretions and crazing from YEARS near candles. He is missing his hands (carved separately) and glass eyes. Near the base, he is a bit soft from old (inactive) insect damage and he is loose on his exceptional polychrome carved wood plinth/pedestal. He needs to be handled gently, and has terrific presence.
