A rare oil on a 9″ X 12″ canvas artist board painting done in 1982 by the well known American Folk Artist Jack Savitsky. Advised by his doctor Jack Savitsky had to give up painting in oil paint in the early 1980s due to him having black lung disease and he only used crayons, pencils and markers after that on his artwork. Painting in good vintage condition with overall yellowing from the varnish applied by the artist back in 1982 and common on most early oil paintings by Jack Savitsky. Varnish could be removed and painting would be much brighter. Also a small area of paint loss on the brim of the man’s cap as seen in picture # 8. The painting itself in frame measures 8 1/2″ X 11 1/2″ sight and with vintage wooden frame 12″ X16″.
