A beautiful large landscape, portrait acrylic painting by New Mexico artist “Gloria” Lor Roybal. Signed upper right corner. Framed under glass in a wood frame. Deep terra cotta & purple. 24″ wide x ” x 28 high. Image area is 11″ wide x 14″ high. Lor Roybal was born in 1949 in the shadow of “The Hermit’s Peak, ” near the small village of Beulah, New Mexico. Raised by her grandparents in this rural landscape of Northern New Mexico, Lor developed a strong appreciation for open spaces and nature. In this vast, raw land, her imagination was free to wander, and her eyes learned to look with more than just a passing glance. Those childhood experiences have helped to form the artist who still enjoys the rural landscape of “del Norte”. Roybal now makes her home in Pecos, in the mountains outside of Santa Fe. She has exhibited her work in galleries for over 25 years and has been chosen for a museum show at the Museum of Fine Arts in Santa Fe. She has exhibited throughout New Mexico. Subject matter is an African American Riverside Baptist Church located in the Cobb County area of Georgia. She had told me she painted these scenes from her childhood spent growing up in Cobb County, Georgia. This awesome piece features the Riverside Baptist Church and many children playing all over the grounds along the river. I love the two children hanging out the upper window of the church! Just a beautiful and heart warming piece of Americana and times gone by! I have had this in my collection ever since along with a few other pieces of hers. Please see item description. DUTCH OLD MASTER 18th Century Folk Landscape Oil Painting OFF TO MARKET. “Dutch Golden Age Folk Landscape” Off To Market c1750. An old painting dating to the mid 1700’s and perhaps even earlier. Oils on wooden panel, the painting would we suggest be either Dutch or Flemish. Size- 13.75 by 17 inches approx. Medium- Oil on wooden panel Frame- Unframed. Condition- We would be very happy to hang this one as found. However the painting has a little varnish browning, craqueleur and alligatoring.
