Striking pair of 19th C trompe l’oeil or still life folk art paintings depicting game birds and a hare or rabbit. This pair of paintings were done on early solid wood beveled panel cabinet doors that measure 16″ x 24.5″ x 7/8. Written in pencil at a later time frame by I assume was a previous owner: Origin Unknown and a name that may say Alice Gabbe?
