Original American Folk Oil Painting Skating in The Park California Artist Anne Rugh Baker Mrs. Its signed by the artist in the front and back. This is a master piece with over 30 different characters, each of them was doing different activities with different facial expression. The frame is original, nice and thick. Size: frame 21.5×18 painting 16×12. Condition: Perfect, nicely framed. After moving to the Monterey Peninsula she met and married Eugene Ames Baker (also an artist). Rugh studied at the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland. She paints in what can be called a “folk art”, almost abstract, style. She produces images of early California, particularly the Monterey Peninsula, in this “folk” art manner. Her media is primarily acrylic. Rugh has been a long-time member of the Carmel Art Association. Her husband Eugene Baker is also a long time member. Original Blue Paint Antique Folk Art Aafa Wood Spoon Rack Holder Square Nails

ORIGINAL BLUE PAINT RARE ANTIQUE FOLK ART AAFA WOOD SPOON RACK HOLDER SQUARE NAILS, LARGE SIZE! Up for sale is this wonderful old spoon rack. It’s so rare to see a large one, and even. 25.75 L x 24.5 H x 7.75 D. It’s a nice blue and it’s worn and crackled in all the right ways. At the top shelf there is a place for a mortar and pestle. On that shelf there are spoon holder locations for 12 spoons. Then there’s another shelf and on that shelf there are another 12 spoon locations on the edge and 22 slots in the shelf for more spoons. Below that there is a wood bar that goes across the back. All in all it will hold 46 spoons. The paint is worn and faded and has some green undertones on one side. Underneath looks really old and aged as do the nails, of which some are square and some are round but all of them are rusty. The square nails are mostly on the front in the spoon holder areas. It has have some fading, crackling paint, edgewear, paint loss. On the back there are two newer brackets for which to hang it by. Genuine Mose Tolliver Very Unique Bus Painting Southern Folk Art Incredible Rare. This painting is the perfect size; 26 x 9 1/2 x 1 1/2. Not too big, not too small. This painting is unique in several ways. Mose made several differing bus paintings but this is by far the most special. Not only is this one framed, but the frame is adorned with flattened bottle caps. The paint used in this work are bright and vibrant, which Mose fans understand was not always the case. The people riding the bus are all different colors, which in most other bus paintings they were all uniform in color. The frame surrounding the painting is attached very securely with both nails and some type of glue. The frame has flattened beer bottles caps nailed to it, all of which though fastened securely still freely spin and/or move. Though many of his paintings included a soda can tab to use to hang them, this painting has an actual picture hanger nailed to the back of it. I dont know for a fact that Mose installed this hanger, but I havent been told otherwise. Will be packaged securely with plenty of padding protection. This painting is genuine, and comes from a collection of other Mose Tolliver paintings and Joe Light paintings. See other listings or inquire if interested. Annie Tolliver Outsider Folk Art painting Adam & Eve on wood. Size: 32″x 23″. Pink painting features Adam and Eve as a dark figured nude. In between the tree of life, with pink and blue birds. The couple, with white hair, slender arms outstretched, have red lips and tiny white teeth. Above is blue sky border. At bottom of painting. Annie Tolliver was born in Montgomery, Alabama. Her father, Mose Tolliver, was the first to influence her art. Annie wanted to paint like her father but later developed a style more her own. Her subjects have many more details such as tiny white teeth, delicate lace trim on the clothing, and pretty polished finger nails. She painted portraits of her father, her daughters with their bright pink hula hoops, her son gone fishing, or her nieces on a shopping spree. Her portraits and vivid images of nature and domestic home life are painted in house paint. Artist Annie Tolliver died March 13, 2018 after an extended illness. A substantial and well rendered oil portrait painting of an American woman, signed illegibly and dated 1850. I was told the sitter was a wealthy Southern woman from the Antebellum period, but I dont know how to verify this. Overall in good condition and presents nicely. It has been restored in the past: cleaned, relined, re-varnished, housed in a contemporary frame. There are scattered spots of in painting mainly to fave and hands, as well as scattered areas of small paint loss/wear. 43.75″ x 35.5″ framed. ANTIQUE PRIMITIVE AAFA FOLK ART WALL SHELF RACK ORIGINAL BLUE PAINT SCALLOPED. The cabinet measures: 17 W x 26 H x 8 D. Up for sale is this wonderfully folky wall shelf. It’s a wonderful Primitive blue color. It appears to be all original paint. We don’t know the age of this little shelf. The paint is patina-ed, worn, aged, edge worn and dry, rusty, scuffed and marked. It has wood undertones and iron markings as you can see in the pictures. There are a couple of holes in the back where the cabinet was hung on the wall. There are nails throughout the cabinet and they are old and rusty and most of them are small and appear round. From the nail holes there are dark rust stains and rusty colored runs. There are nicks, dings, edge wear, and chips but nothing you wouldn’t expect. It’s so cute!
