Vintage Folk Art Handcarved/Painted Wooden Decoy Fish Advertising Trade Sign. This is for a fantastic vintage folk art hand carved & hand painted wooden fish. Has terrific hand painted detailing along with a great carved out “GONE FISHING” on one side only. Does have hanging eye hooks installed on top side of fish. It measures approximately 19 3/4 inches length by 5 3/4 inches height by 1 1/2 inches thick. It has wonderful folk art appeal. It is in great vintage condition. Does have one sliver of wood missing on rear fin on one side. Doesn’t show from opposite side. Great decor for trophy room, man cave, camp, cottage & avid fisherman. This superb piece features an ornately carved symmetrical design to its front. The carvings are crisp and very clear. The frame has a fantastic shape that is extremely pleasing to the eye. The original finish was mellowed and warmed with age which gives this piece an absolutely stunning look. This Antique / Vintage piece still holds an original period Photograph of a beautiful baby that has the cutest smile!!! Also retains its original piece of glass which covers and protects the photograph. This superb picture frame still retains its original hanging chord and eyelets. An amazing find for your Tramp Art / Chip Carved collection. This amazing piece measures approximately 21.7cm in length and stands 27.6cm in height. It weighs approximately 400g. Presented in excellent condition. There are virtually no losses to the chip carving. There are a couple of small nicks to the edges of this piece. This is extremely minimal and in no way detracts from this piece whilst on display. The original glass is in great condition, as is the original photograph. Both the cardboard backing and the nails holding it in place remain strong. The original hanging chord, although yellowed with age still remains strong. It displays absolutely beautifully!! Beautifully hand painted mask with salamanders on each side. Ocumicho is located in the mountainous forests of the Meseta Tarasca in the central part of the state of Michoacan. Ocumicho is an indigenous Purepecha community of 6000 people, organized as bienes comunales (common lands). AFA Antique primitive folk art, carved wood painted two piece Noah’s Ark – likely made in Germany, late 1800s / early 1900s. Noah and wife are attached to ark. Includes 20 animals – 9 pairs (dogs, elephants, horses, camels, sheep, pigs) and two single animals (deer with antlers). Roof lifts off, ark is hollow for storage of animals. No signature or maker mark. Very detailed animals with painted faces, carved horns, etc. Ark measures 9″ long, 2″ wide, 4 1/2 tall. Some wear as shown in photos. One dog is missing front leg.
