PAIR A. KOWALSKI Oil Paintings WINTER & SPRING FOLK ART OIL /CANVAS Originals

These are’a pair’ in matching frames, a Winter scene and a Spring scene, oil on canvas by A. Kowalski the Hungarian artist. Framed in matching wood frames with cloth matting, both are signed by the artist but the signature on the snow scene is just below the edge of the frame. It would be more visible in another frame or if adjusted. I have had these for nearly a year and just found the second signature today. Because I thought the Snow scene was not signed I wanted to keep them together. Both are 24 wide x 20 high. See all pics for best description of condition. The provenance is written on back by me, in light pencil. Size is 14″ by 18 ” on canvas panel Painting is vintage in date. Condition is very good, clean, NO crazing, NO repairs, on front of painting, with back of painting showing some tape marks, age stains, and some wear. Artist is deceased and is a well known artist and gardener. She comes from a generation, in which her mother, was the first physician doctor in Alchua County, Florida. Roberta was a centenarium. Century, Watercolor Painting is signed on the rock with the initials “GDR, ” whom we were not able to find. It depicts a small New England Farm in the middle of winter. Measuring 16″ by 20″, this painting is in original clean condition and comes under glass in a 23″ by 27″ wood frame. The frame does have some edge wear and loss to the inner part, but there are no other problems. We are listing this New England Winter Watercolor Painting without any reserve.
