Antique Norway Norwegian Tine or Tina Box Bride Box. A wonderful piece of Hand Painted Folk Art. Oval bentwood box or tine form, with lapped and glued sides. There is an arch handle on top. Painted with beautiful flowers, vines, and shapes. It says Do not cry, so shall you have your Tina in old Norwegian. This was used to carry baked goods. Could also be for trinkets and treasures. Box opens but is tight due to age. Be careful when opening. Box is approximately 6 x 3.5 x 3. There is a very light pencil mark on the bottom, which could be a name. I cant make it out. Antique Vintage Large Folk Art Painted Norwegian Ale Bowl Rosemaling

Everything I list is from my personal excess of collections and accumulations from my smoke-free home. A large antique rosemaled ale bowl from Norway, measuring a generous 9″ in diameter and 3.75″ tall. Lovely old muted colors are featured in the free-flowing folk painted design inside. Around the outer rim are words that rhyme…… I think it says something about filling the bowl to the brim and honoring the man who can drain it! As you can see in the photos there is some wear to the paint here and there and a very tiny 1/2 tight crack along the rim on one side. It makes a nice display piece with a wonderful old world look. Other items in the last photo are not included but can be found in my listings this week. Vintage Romainian Folk Art Reverse Glass Painting, Yarn Spinning, signed 1976

Vintage Romanian Folk Art. Woman Spinning Wool Yarn. This great little folk art painting shows a woman in traditional garb hand-spinning wool yarn. The painting viewing area is 9″ x 9″, and with the frame measures 11″ x 11″. Condition-wise, there is a little paint worn off on her dress up near the waist. That is the only minor blemish to the painting. The frame shows some wear along the outer edges. Please see photos for details. Enjoy more photos of this and our other items at. The painting is done in wonderful warm shades of yellow and brown. The painting is mounted in a brown, slightly distressed looking wooden frame. A name in the lower right states the artist was Corine Ionita, and in the lower left is the date of 1976. The receipt is attached to the back, as well various government stamps. We can see the receipt was issued by’Galerie de Arts’, in Bucharest, Romania, in September 1976. The Galerie de Arts is a world-renowned art emporium in Bucharest featuring many works by Romanian artists. This is a great example of Romanian reverse glass folk art from 44 years ago. With its beauty and charming appeal, this wonderful painting would warm any space it was placed in! The painting is described as objectively as possible. Hand painted Pin-Up Trench Folk Art Military Canvas Duffle Bag WWII Navy Vintage There are 20 photos of the item below. The drawing on the bag is about 15 tall. Measures about 20″ across and about 32″-33 tall. I show photos of the bag inside out, there is some rope stitched around the bottom seam, it’s just hanging loose, the seams are solid so I have no idea what that rope is supposed to be. The top has metal grommets (and no draw string), one side of the bag has some blue stitching on either side of the seam. Heavy canvas type material. Exterior shows extensive soiling and stains, no physical damage like tears or holes that I could find. I don’t know if the image is waterproof (but assume it is not), it looks like it could be india ink or something similar. — See photos for condition details. — I don’t have a way to arrange for a local pick-up of this item, I’m sorry for the inconvenience. Vintage German Wendt&Kuhn Erzgebirge Expertic Folk Art Wood Christmas Angel Trio

Thus is a hard to find complete set of vintage Erzgebirge Expertic Christmas angels in near mint condition! This heavenly trio of angels stands 5 tall to the tips of their wings. They are made from carved and turned pieces of wood, and hand painted in rich glossy colors. Each is accented with gilded details, both on their wings and their regal garments. Two blondes and a brunette, the winged beauties wear their hair in pigtailsa signature look for the Erzgebirge angels and children. Delicate brass halos encircle the heads of the heavenly beings. One prays in ernest, another heralds the coming of the Christ child, while a third sings praises for her sheet music. These wonderful, whimsical pieces of wooden folk art have been made in the Erzgebirge forest region of Germany for over a century. This vintage set dates from 1979 to 1987, as evidenced by the red and white Erzgebirge Expertic factory labels with the German Democratic Republic designation. The red square sticker was used in 1980 only, I believe. It is rare to find this set in such wonderful condition! They are near mint, with just a couple of the tiniest paint flakes along the edge of 3 of the wings in the back, and a couple of teeny flakes on the edge of the red cape, again, in the back. The sheet music the red angel holds is not the original music, but a carefully crafted facsimile that faithfully honors the original.
