This superb piece features an ornately carved symmetrical design to its front. The carvings are crisp and very clear. The frame has a fantastic shape that is extremely pleasing to the eye. The original finish was mellowed and warmed with age which gives this piece an absolutely stunning look. This Antique / Vintage piece still holds an original period Photograph of a beautiful baby that has the cutest smile!!! Also retains its original piece of glass which covers and protects the photograph. This superb picture frame still retains its original hanging chord and eyelets. An amazing find for your Tramp Art / Chip Carved collection. This amazing piece measures approximately 21.7cm in length and stands 27.6cm in height. It weighs approximately 400g. Presented in excellent condition. There are virtually no losses to the chip carving. There are a couple of small nicks to the edges of this piece. This is extremely minimal and in no way detracts from this piece whilst on display. The original glass is in great condition, as is the original photograph. Both the cardboard backing and the nails holding it in place remain strong. The original hanging chord, although yellowed with age still remains strong. It displays absolutely beautifully!! Juan Camilo Ayala, a ceramic artist from the state of Guerrero using traditional techniques, made his platter and meticulously painted it with lizards, women, children, fish, a village scene and many other details. ANTIQUE AAFA FOLK ART PARCHEESI GAME BOARD MADE FROM CRATES. Up for sale is this old hand painted checkerboard. It has a great folk art feel to it! The board is for Parcheesi and has old faded red and green. It has worn edges, cracks, paint loss and hand wear. The gaming part has lots of wear. The board is a 6 point star field. It appears to be made from one large piece of wood from a crate with a large crack down the middle. It measures 16 L x 14.5 W and is about 1.25 thick. There is a small hanger on the back to hang the board on the wall. You can see this in the pictures. There is crate stenciling on the back but we don’t know what it says. On one side there are the handwritten initials A. As mentioned, theres some edge wear, paint loss, nicks, scrapes, scratches, dings and a crack down the center. These issues are just as youd expect from and item of this age. Please look at the photos for a more accurate description and detail and ask lots of questions if needed. 1920’s Era Wood Hand Made & Painted Covered Wagon Primitive Folk Art. This Folk Art Piece was originally made sometime during the 1920’s, it was made by a friend of the family for the original owners grandfather for when he was a child. This piece was expertly crafted as you can tell especially with the animals and the the driver. There is some paint loss and the mans hat front is cracked. This piece is all wood except the canvas cover on the wagon the mans hat and the animals ears & tail these are made of leather. This offering is for a vintage ca 1940’s to 50’s hand made folk art wooden doll figure. The young lady stands app. 17 tall and has metal post on the bottoms of her feet to put her on a stand, there is no stand. There are no makers markings. The head and torso were carved from one piece of wood, the wooden arms are jointed at the shoulders with wire and the wooden legs are attached with wire as well. She wears what appears to be her original clothing and hat, she has a purse over her arm. The workmanship is excellent and the condition is wonderful. There is minor soiling to her clothing and wear to her hat. The tip of one foot is missing. Otherwise there are no breaks or cracks and she displays beautifully.
