Early Aafa Antique Folk Art American Apothecary Cabinet Square Nails Green Paint

EARLY AAFA ANTIQUE FOLK ART AMERICAN APOTHECARY CABINET SQUARE NAILS GREEN PAINT. Up for sale is this wonderful twelve-drawer apothecary cabinet. It has 12 equal sized drawers each with its own cup handle style pull. The color is a dark green which is on the wood and handle parts. It has edge wear and the paint is scuffed. What a great look! The cabinet measures 31.75″ wide and 37″ high and 11.25 deep. The cabinet is very heavy and weighs a hefty xx lbs. ! The top is one piece of wood and it’s faded over the years. The back is a thin piece of wood and was likely replaced at some point. It’s very clean. The drawers are dovetailed and of solid wood. They have square nails in the sides as you can see in the pictures. Some of them have writing on them on the outside of the drawers which you can’t see once they are slid in to the cabinet. Some of the writing is in pencil and other writing is in crayon. You can see where a couple of drawers have issues like the upper right drawer where the top of the wood face came off and the bottom was glued back on. The light wood color appears to have been the color of the cabinet before it was painted. All the drawers work well, though. We don’t know the age of this cabinet but it looks old to us! You make the call. It is a wonderful and one of a kind item! There are nicks, scrapes, dings, edgewear, chunks, paint loss, paint chips, some chips on the sides near the bottom (probably from moving this around) and worn finish as you can see in the pictures but nothing you wouldn’t expect from an item of this age. Description & Condition: Up for sale is this wonderful antique circa 1830 Folk art portrait painting of a woman in a green dress. She has dark hair and is sitting in a red chair holding a pink flower in her hand. It is not signed but has fine details. It measures 33″ by 25″ and is in a gilt wood frame that measures 38 1/2″ by 30 1/2″. The painting has an old reline and some minor touch ups to the paint. This is really a nice portrait! AAFA ANTIQUE PRIMITIVE WOOD CUBBY TOOL CABINET CUPBOARD ORIGINAL GREEN PAINT. Up for sale is very nice old cubby or tool cabinet. It has 16 cubbies above and one large space down below. The cabinet is made mostly from plywood. This probably dates it to mid-century. We’re not sure of the age so you make the call. It’s a wonderful dry wood and is nice green in color with old worn paint. The paint appears to be all original. The back is not painted. The front paint is dry, worn, rubbed, scraped, chipped, nicked, edge. On the left side there’s a good sized chip near the top as you can see in the pictures. The inside looks clean and all original. What a great look!! Please see photos for accurate detail and description. The pictures are pretty good for the color, especially the close-up ones. It’s a nice old cabinet/cupboard!!
