Beautiful and rustic, we have a charming original primitive folk art picture or mirror frame with birch bark and twig accents throughout. Although we have obvious age and patina, this example is in fine condition with great integrity. We note some of the tiny little nails on the back side were never completely hammered down to the wood level… We will leave the decision to you to complete that task. It does not harm use, display or hanging. Solid wire assembly is in place, however, you could also remove and replace to change the direction of the piece for hanging should you choose to do so. Great original piece for cabin or rustic setting or decor! Exterior measures in at 14 & 1/2″ x 13″ with an interior back opening of 9″ x 7 & 1/2″. Presented in a nice “tiger-wood” style frame with mat. Condition : Has not been inspected outside of frame but appears in very good vintage condition free from any rips or tears. Some wear to frame. Offered here without reserve is this wonderful oil on canvas unframed folk art painting of a log cabin in the woods, with its split rail fence, and a man ostensibly chopping wood. The painting itself, not counting the contemporary frame, measures 24″ x 17″, is unsigned and clearly primitive in its execution.
