AAFA ANTIQUE FOLK ART 1800’s BITTERSWEET BLUE PAINT PRIMITIVE DRY SINK SQUARE NAILS WITH LINER. Up for sale is this wonderful old primitive dry sink. 48.25 w x 17.75 d x 37 h. It’s a nice sized two door cabinet with a shelf inside. It has outstanding bittersweet and blue colors on the outside. Even more-so, it’s a wonderful dry, soft buttercream / yellow color inside, including the shelf. Please see photos for the best description and accuracy. The paint appears to be all original and is dry, worn, rubbed, scraped, chipped, nicked, edge worn and patina-ed! There are also some cracks in the wood from age. This is everything you’d expect to see from an old survivor cabinet like this! What a great look! It’s an old dry sink and inside the top part there is the liner as you can see, very cool. The doors open and the left door has a metal latch and loop to hold it shut. Then when the right door closes, it latches with a little spring latch that has a cool old knob / turn also. You could leave the doors open and display crocks, or firkins or other wonderful items. The hinges are little rusty Shaker style hinges as you can see in the pictures. There are a lot of old rusty nails as you can see in the pictures. Many of them are square nails, especially on the front. Some are rusty and round while others are gnarly and rusty like roseheads. On the sides there are boot jacks that are whale tails. The paint has some edge wear, scrapes, patina, fading, variations of color, wood showing through, chipping and nicks. AAFA FOLK ART ANTIQUE PRIMITIVE BUCKET BENCH WOOD ORIGINAL BLUE PAINT MORTISED. Up for sale is this wonderful one of a kind bucket bench. It’s old, and it has a very slight wobble from side to side, but it’s adorable and nice painted blue color with lots of age and patina! The shelves are mortised into the sides of the bucket bench as you can see in the pictures. The shelves are aged as you can see and the wood has wear, thin cracks, paint loss and patina on them. The sides have a nice scalloped top to them and the bottoms have whale tail boot jack style bases. On the right side leg the wood has worn away and through the paint in one spot. We don’t what this is from but it’s scratched through the paint layer and is in to the wood layer. This is truly a one-of-a-kind item! The bucket bench measures. 53 H in back x 39.5 W x 10 D. We don’t know the age of this item. There are nicks, scrapes, small cracks, edge wear, paint loss, paint drips, fading, dings and worn paint as you can see in the pictures but nothing you wouldn’t expect from an item of this age. AMAZING AAFA 1800’S ORIGINAL PAINT YELLOW BLUE EARLY PRIMITIVE WOOD DRY SINK. Up for sale is this wonderful old primitive dry sink. It’s a nice sized two door cabinet with a shelf inside. It’s a wonderful dry, soft yellow color with blue and wood undertones. There is paint coming through the yellow paint. There is a wonderful blue paint on the inside of the doors which may indicate that the entire cabinet. May have been blue at one point and the outside yellow was the secondary color. Please see photos for the best description and accuracy. The paint appears to be all original and is dry, worn, rubbed, scraped, chipped, nicked, edge worn and patina-ed! ANTIQUE AAFA FOLK ART WOODEN MILKING STOOL ROBINS EGG BLUE ALLIGATOR PAINT. Up for sale is this wonderful little miking stool. It has crackly old paint, lots of patina and a great look! The step measures 12.25 L x 8.75″ W x 10″ H. It is a nice robin’s egg blue with off-white and wood undertones. There are layers of paint so it has that thick, many layers look to it. Then, there are areas where there is very little paint with wood showing and just a little paint. There are also some areas of white paint on it including some on the underside. Its a very nice decorative piece for any Primitive collection! On one side there’s a crack and it was apparently repaired with a piece of wood underneath and painted over like the rest of the stool. You can see the split in the side. Then there’s a little round wooden bar under the seat also. The top has big mortises into the side legs as you as see in the pictures. This is truly a one-of-a-kind item. We dont know the age of this item. It’s a nice piece for your collection. Thank you for looking at this item. Up for sale is this large vintage landscape painting, a lake or river scene with a moose in the water in front of rolling hills and trees. Signed By Dan Smith. It is accompanied by a note saying it was found in Avery County, Blue Ridge Mountains, North Carolina, near Grandfather Mountain. It also says it was painted with root base paints, I wouldnt know how to determine whether that is true or not. Measures about 48 x 16. There are some scratches and wear both to painting and frame. Painting needs a cleaning, there is also quite a bit of texture, like crackelure present. Please view all 12 photos to help judge condition. Pine double wall box in grungy blue paint. The paint on this box has been dry scraped down to a beautiful robin’s egg blue. You can see remnants of the two over layers of dark blue and pink. This is a reconstruction using vintage antique pine with original paint. There is some in-painting and touch-up on the edges. It looks great on the wall or on a shelf.
