Antique Hand Painted Blue Swedish Folk Art Cabinet Cupboard. There is a subtle grace to this original painted Swedish cupboard due to the multiple generations of use spanning across 200 years. Originally, pieces like this were painted in vibrant colors where here, the original blue has faded beautifully reflecting its age. Notice in the close up photos the remains of a crown and date of 1807 on the bonnet, and traditional vases of flowers on the panel doors. While the paint has worn down to the natural pine below in many areas, it is the natural distressing that creates the tremendous character and appeal of this piece.
