OLD ANTIQUE 8 DRAWER WOOD APOTHECARY WHITE CUBBY CABINET PRIMITIVE CRATES PAINT AAFA. Up for sale is this wonderful 8 drawer spice or apothecary cabinet. It has 1 large drawer, 2 medium drawers and 5 smaller drawers. The cabinet was made from crates (drawer sides and some bottoms) and little porcelain drawer pulls that have little aged / rusted slotted screws in them. The screws are different sizes and some of the knobs have paint on them. The color is a painted white-white on the drawer faces and cabinet sides with a grey-blue color on the face of the cabinet around the drawers. It makes it very nice looking. It may have been more grey and the white may have been applied over it at some point. The paint obvious brush marks, chips, nicks, edgewear and bumps in it as you can see in the pictures. The drawers are painted on the outside and are unpainted on the inside. The drawers each measure. 1 Large Drawer at right bottom: 12.25″ W x 8.25″ D x 6.5 H (inside dims). 2 Medium Drawers at right top: 11″ W x 7.75″ D x 3.25 D. 5 Smaller Drawers: 5.5″ W x 7.75″ H x 5 D. It is a wonderful and one of a kind! The back is old wood and there are some cracks and separations here and there. We don’t see any square nails but there are a bunch of rusty little nails. The cabinet measures 22.75″ H x 36″ W x 9-1/8″ D without knobs (9.75″ with the knobs). It weighs about 32 lbs. The drawer bottoms are made out of old crates as you can see in the pictures. There are cigar labels and a cigar stamp that says “Modern Times Cigars”. The back of one of the ones at the top right is broken in the back and that crate says Hazel-Atlas Glass Co. Another says “Owl Brand 5c” and is a cigar label actually on the drawer. It’s a good-sized. Cabinet and would not likely be able to hung on the wall or set on top of a cabinet. It’s very cute and not something you’ll see again soon. We don’t know the age of this item but it looks early 20th century to us. There are nicks, scrapes, small cracks, dings and worn paint/stains as you can see in the pictures but nothing you wouldn’t expect from an item of this age. Early Aafa Antique Primitive Folk Art Firkin Wood Bucket Original Paint Blue

AAFA EARLY ANTIQUE FOLK ART ORIGINAL BLUE PAINTED WOOD PANTRY BOX. Up for sale is this wonderful light blue-grey firkin!! Some people call them a flour buckets, sugar buckets, pales or pantry boxes!! Wow, look at the wonderful soft color on this one!!! It has what appears to be its original paint. This firkin is a nice large sized firkin with a wood handle with a wood knobbin where the handle connects to the firkin. It has two bands, one at the top and one at the bottom. Both are finger-ended bands. They have nailed the ends. On the lid, the band has a staple and a nail as you can see in the close-up pictures. The staple holds a crack together in the edge of the lid. Both bands are just a little loose and wiggle if you move them but they don’t shift up and down. The vertical staves are fairly tight on this firkin. There are some chips in the bottom of the staves in a couple of places. This firkin is also very clean inside. It’s lid matches but has spots, grunge and patina on it as you can see in the pictures. You can also see that there is a crack in the lid. It’s not loose but there is a crack and on the top there’s a chunk of wood missing. On the inside of the lid you can see the stenciled letters W G YOUNG. This firkin is a nice soft blue-grey color and the paint is dry and patina-ed. It appears to be the original paint. You can see wood under the color here and there as well as some darker areas. This firkin measures 9.125″ in diameter at the top and 10″ in diameter at the bottom. It’s about 9.75 high and weighs about 3 lbs. It has some fading, crackling paint, edgewear, divots in the surface, streaks, paint loss, wood missing here and there, streaks, paint loss, paint chips. Aafa Ooak Folk Art Antique Primitive Step Stool / Shelf Alligator Blue Paint

AAFA OOAK FOLK ART ANTIQUE PRIMITIVE STEP STOOL / SHELF ALLIGATOR BLUE PAINT. Up for sale is this wonderful 3-step stool / smaller stair / bench riser or could even be used as a potting bench / step / shelf. It’s an adorable old 3 step and has crackly / alligator paint, lots of patina and a great look!! It is blue and/or green depending on where you look, sometimes the blue is dominant with a little green and sometimes the green is dominant with a little blue. There are layers of paint so it has that thick, many layers look to it. Then, there are areas where there is very little paint with wood showing and just a little crackly paint. On the front there’s a wonderful little scalloped edge under the first step! The back has a trestle back (criss cross) for support. It’s a steep step so we don’t recommend using it as a step. It’s a very nice decorative piece for any Primitive collection! The step has what look like square nails in it as you can see in the first picture. There are also a number of round nails and some in the bottom also. The tips of the base legs are fairly worn and missing paint as you can see in the pictures. This is truly a one-of-a-kind item. The step measures 27.25″ H (to the top step) x 19.5″ W x 19.5 D (at base). The top step is about 7″ deep while the bottom 2 steps are about 6.25″ D. Each step is about. We don’t know the age of this item. There are nicks, scrapes, small cracks, dings and worn paint as you can see in the pictures but nothing you wouldn’t expect from an item of this age. SO CUTE! Antique Primitive Folk Art Painted Childs Table and Chairs Set AAFA

Really nice 1930’s – 1940’s toddler sized wooden toy table and two matching chairs, hand painted with little pink roses with red and green accents. Paint and finish is original. The set is in good used condition. Sturdy enough to be used for toddlers, take a close look at the pictures, some wear and tear also makes a great photography prop or use for dolls or bears as display. Table – 19″ wide by 17″ tall by 15 deep. Each Chair – 20″ tall by 12″ wide by 10 deep. Chair seat – 10″ by 10″ by 10. I have seen sets very similar to this one made by the South Bend Toy Company in Southbend Indiana from the 1930’s. I believe they were marketed as KINDERSETS. Aafa Early Antique Folk Art Original Blue Painted Wood Pantry Box

AAFA EARLY ANTIQUE FOLK ART ORIGINAL BLUE PAINTED WOOD PANTRY BOX. Up for sale is this beautiful 19th Century Early pantry box. We love the old Early paint and great patina on this little pantry box. It’s round and has a round lid. The top has a few small pieces of wood missing on the lid as you can see in the pictures. There is also a split on the inside where the band comes together as shown in the photos – not hard to fix. There is also edge wear/paint loss around the whole pantry box where the lid sits. It should look like this if it is original! The color is a polychrome blue, more of a vibrant blue. This was a hard paint/color to get right in the pictures. It is not purple or dark blue – more vibrant. The banding is square-ended and has little round-headed nails in it as well as into the side of the pantry box at the seam. It has some age and wear, wood loss, paint loss, dents, and scratches but is still solid. It measures 10.25″ in diameter at the lid and about 5.125″ high with the lid on. It weighs about 1.5 lbs. ANTIQUE 8 DRAWER WOOD APOTHECARY CABINET PRIMITIVE ALLIGATOR WHITE PAINT DRESSER. Up for sale is this wonderful 8 drawer cabinet. It has large drawers with old cup / canopy drawer pulls. The color is a painted white color with lots of crackle in the paint. We call this alligator paint. The entire cabinet has old crackled or missing paint. The top has some scrapes, paint missing and wear with a very nice blue undertone here and there. There is also blue around the inside edges of the drawers as you can see in the pictures. The left side of the cabinet is white, like the front and the right side of cabinet blue as you can see in the pictures. 43″ W by 18″ D without the handles by 30 H. The drawers each measure. 15.5″ W by 15″ D by 4.5 high inside. All of the doors have locks and a divider inside as you can see in the pictures. We don’t have the keys to the locks and we don’t know if the locks work. The bottoms of the drawers are made from plywood. There is a hole in the top as you can see in the pictures. There isn’t a back on this cabinet as you can see in the pictures. You can see the backs of the drawers from the back. All of the drawers have a divider in them; we took a picture of this. We don’t know the age of this item but it looks early 20th century to us. There are nicks, scrapes, small cracks, dings and worn paint/stain as you can see in the pictures but nothing you wouldn’t expect from an item of this age. Early 1900s Antique ORIG Wooden Baltimore Trade Sign Folk Art AAFA Hand Painted

Very Rare and early trade sign. Came out of a baltimore basement. Double sided, hand painted store front sign. This is an early handyman sign. Paint is better on one side, but both sides have same writing. Artist name on bottom (see last photo) marked S. I haven’t done any research to see if he was a known sign painter in baltimore or not. Sign measures 43.5″ Tall x 23″ wide (at widest area) x 1.5 thick. Has very early cast iron mount in middle, may have been more originally but I haven’t seen signs of mounting holes to prove that. Sign has some wear, but overall no flaking to paint and very solid. Paint is great, and it is a true Baltimore City sign.
