This is a real. Gem of Barber Shop Memorabilia! All Original Sign, Painted Red, White and Blue Hand Carved Barber Wooden Spiral Pole. Very solid Folk Art wood trade sign. This vintage barber shop pole used to bring customers in during Turn of Century. Painted on sign the follows images, 15 Cent, A Gold Straight Razor, Gold Scissors, Barber Mug and Black Comb. Nice Glass Ball on top of Barber Pole. Very old images are light due to age of the pole. Sign displays other designs but can’t read due to the weathering of the lettering. This listing is for an early school-girl embroidery sampler under glass made by Jane Gage of Colerain and dated April 18, 1818 – 200 years ago. It has some wonderful open-work stitchery in the words “Jane Gage” along with many other stitching styles. There is a verse (with a sweet misspelling of the word “Lord”) : Lold keep me for I trust in thee. The frame is an amazing faux tiger maple striped hand-painted frame dating to the mid-1800s or earlier. The framed sampler measures about 10 by 14 inches and the sampler itself measures about 7 by 11 inches. It is backed in acid-free mat board. Condition is good, the stitching is strong and clear. It has the expected age toning of the passing of the 200 years since it was worked. Please review the photos and ask any question you may have as the photos are part of the description. Apx 1940s Nearly 2 ft long.. Apx 23″x14″x7 , weighs apx 8 lbs , very solid.. I believe this was a collectors rocker for antique dolls. An amazing conversation piece!!!! We have just enjoyed up on a tall cabinet counter in our game room.. Has a lot of aging/ historical wear showing but nothing major.. All hand carved and painted I was told.. Was told this originally came from a circus toy collector, they owned several pieces for at least 10-20 yrs before offered. This was old when they obtained.. And I’m not sure how to tell.. There is some chipping and peeling in different places as you can see from the pictures and is been like that for as long as we’ve had it.. It feels like wood and it sounds like wood but please use the pictures for your own judgment. The head was a separate piece.. Rare Antique Folk Art Hand-Painted Large Stoneware Crock, Man and Woman. Fresh from a New England estate. Handpainted folk art of a man and woman standing. Old paint work with some flaking and touch ups. Look fantastic and old. The original crock glaze is showing through in some areas. There are a few minor chips around the rim/mouth. Please review the photos as I tried to capture it from all angles. Inside looks to be lead glazed (dark brown). Bottom shows marks where the potter cut the piece off the wheel with a loop of wire after it was formed. Imprinted with 2 on the back neck. No other makers marks. No structural issues or cracks. Measures nearly 12 tall. Base is 8 1/2 across. Mouth is 6 across (edge to edge). Please send me a message to start the return process. I respond to messages very quickly.
