Antique Folk Art Old Paint Carnival Gambling Game Wheel Philadelphia Pa Dominoes. Neat old gaming wheel. Dates to the early 1900s. Maybe even late 1800s. Metal spokes are marked Something bearing Co Philadelphia Pa. I used to hang it with the domino side out via some metal wire wrapped around the nails on the back side. 1 and 5/16 inches across for the wood. 2 and half inches from nail to nail. Condition: Good overall condition. One area of paint touch up on the red border of the numeral side. Some writing on the numerical side. The dominos side looks real nice. I had this piece for a while before I noticed the repaint (mainly because I only displayed the domino side). Some other areas of wear and paint loss. Some minor wood loss along the borders. The weathervane is in good condition for its age and use. There is an old repair to the chicken, the wooden base is cracked from age and there is wear to the paint throughout the piece. The rather large and heavy weathervane is 41″ in height and 20″ in width. Available for pick-up only. Antique Early American Portrait Painting Man Wart 1820 Attic Find Massachusetts

This handsome visage is part of a pair discovered in a Massachusetts attic and remaining untouched. Please see our other sales for the companion portrait. Measuring 26 1/4″ x 22 1/2″ the oil on canvas is mounted to its original red-wash thin-wood rack/stretcher having lapped corner hoints and wrought head nails. The subject gazes confidently at the viewer with a somewhat world-weary expression under thinning gray hair; a wig? Or something fluffy appears to rest on the table to his left. As the images show, the paint layer is HEAVILY crazed (stable) and the surface is absolutely filthy; it has not been lined. There are some minor edge losses and a pronounced stretcher line. This will leave some new holes in the rack but is preferable to damaging the canvas. Antique Vintage Large Folk Art Painted Norwegian Ale Bowl Rosemaling

Everything I list is from my personal excess of collections and accumulations from my smoke-free home. A large antique rosemaled ale bowl from Norway, measuring a generous 9″ in diameter and 3.75″ tall. Lovely old muted colors are featured in the free-flowing folk painted design inside. Around the outer rim are words that rhyme…… I think it says something about filling the bowl to the brim and honoring the man who can drain it! As you can see in the photos there is some wear to the paint here and there and a very tiny 1/2 tight crack along the rim on one side. It makes a nice display piece with a wonderful old world look. Other items in the last photo are not included but can be found in my listings this week.
