Description & Condition: Up for sale is this antique 1828 oil on oak panel portrait of Elizabeth Chaplain aged 15. It depicts a young woman in a white dress with pink pearls. She has a pink wrap over her shoulders and a brown leather belt. It measures 14″ by 12″ and is in very good condition. It does not appear to be signed. It has a paper identifying the sitter on the reverse. It is in an antique carved and gilt wood frame that measures 19″ by 17″. This is a beautiful early portrait!
