EARLY AAFA ANTIQUE FOLK ART AMERICAN APOTHECARY CABINET ORIGINAL PAINT. Up for sale is this wonderful four-drawer apothecary cabinet. The color is a nice soft putty color. There are also some areas where the paint is thin and the wood underneath is showing through. The paint is all crackled and alligatored as you can see in the pictures. The paint appears to be all original. Inside and under the drawers, the cabinet has green paint and some of the drawers have some hints of green too. 24.5 L x 10.25 W x 14.25 H. 8 W x 8.5 D x 2 H. The top is one piece of wood and is also wonderfully aged. There are some holes in the top as you can see in the pictures. The back is made from one piece of. Plywood wood and the paint is very crackled. The drawers each have a finger hole in the them as you can see in the pictures. All the drawers work well. The drawers are fairly clean inside considering the age of the cabinet. You can see a gap to the right of the second drawer where a piece of wood has gone missing. The big area to the left is also fairly clean and is only painted in part of the area toward the front. In the bottom of the cabinet there are rusty old square nails around the perimeter of the bottom. We don’t know the age of this cabinet but it looks old to us! You make the call. It is a wonderful and one of a kind item! There are nicks, scrapes, dings, scuffs. Paint loss, paint drips, paint chips, and worn finish as you can see in the pictures but nothing you wouldn’t expect from an item of this age. We will do our best to answer your questions.
