This is a fine example of her work in great condition. Barbara Strawser is a third generation Pennsylvania German folk artist. A self-taught painter, she depicts animals, gardens, farms and everyday living as experienced in her surroundings in rural Lancaster, Lebanon, and Berks Counties, Pennsylvania. Barbara has been painting since childhood and her paintings can be found in collections and galleries around the world. Barbara is also known for her furniture decorating, Pennsylvania Dutch cooking, and her amazing garden and flowers. The daughter of June and Walter Gottshall, both 92 years old and folk artists themselves, Barbara has been influenced by her Pennsylvania German heritage.
