Now that the Art Show season in Florida is over, I will be listing. For the next season. I paint all palette knife paintings in oils! My inspiration to paint is AE Backus, Harold Newton. The Hurn Museum in Savannah, Georgia presented a One-Man exhibition of his work in 2005 and has a number of his works in their permanent collection. ANTIQUE 19thC PRIMITIVE FOLK ART OIL PAINTING ON WOOD PANEL CHILDREN AT SEASHORE

Many of our offerings are. Fresh to the market from local estates in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Late 19th century folk art oil painting on wood panel depicting three children by the shore line. The children appear to be playing a game of horse riding-the older girl is carrying on her back a younger child who has lost one of her shoes. And is holding up a bunch of flowers. The boy to the left of the painting is holding the reins. The frame measures 23. Wide x 28 1/2. The painting measures 17 1/2. Condition notations: Surface grime, craquelure, toning, grime. The wood board upon which the painting is done appears to have been found material and has a raised area mid-right side edge which has some sort of fasteners, as shown last two photos. There is some minor paint loss on this area as shown. Period frame with appliqué cartouche corner spandrels. The frame retains it. S original gilt surfaces; there is minor wear and narrow finish loss as shown mid- left side. A second ebayer, from California, also agrees that the name should be Jose Maria de Servin. However, both names come up on Google and both names show similar styles. Five folk art whirligigs made by Charles Munro. Each is initialed CM and numbered in the back. Each is hand carved and hand painted. From left to right in the first photo, the corresponding numbers are 64, 65, 45, 59, 34. Each whirligig is about 8 inches high (to top of oar) x 3 inches wide. Original Mose Tolliver (MoseT) Watermelon Folk Art Painting

Up for sale is a Mose Tolliver (Moset) original folk art painting. This is a 10″ x 17″ (the right side of the painting is closer to 10 1/4, irregular shaped wood canvas) painting of a watermelon, painted on a basic wooden board. It includes the pop tab from a soda can as a wall hanger, which is common with Moset paintings. The painting itself is in good shape and clean. I don’t see any scrapes or scratches in the paint. I don’t see any evidence of it ever being dropped or otherwise mistreated. The colors are still vibrant, I don’t see any sunfading. Overall this is a great painting from Moset in great condition.
