For example, there are two dime-size holes in the canvas, two smaller pinholes, as well as some paint and canvas loss. The religious scene portrays Jesus on his way to Crucifixion in the upper left-hand corner. In the middle are a man and woman in a village field, below whom can be seen Mary Magdalene, kneeling in mourning over the body of the Crucified Christ. On the very bottom of the canvas there is a lengthy inscription in Spanish, that could provide more detail.
