Vintage Swedish Folk Art Kitchen Cabinet Doors Hand Painted Design Restored 1940

This is a pair of vintage kitchen cabinet doors salvaged from a Chicago residence c1940s. They are constructed of a composite material and have been completely restored. The whimsical Swedish folk art design was recreated and the colors matched. Glass will be added to the backs of the doors and I will also include simple chrome hinges as an extra (not installed Will leave that up to you). Each one measures 15w x 32 ½h. Red plastic and chrome deco handles are original. An entire kitchen should be built around these as they will be focal point in any room they are installed in. Also shown in my photos 2. Ad for a Swedish kitchen from the 40’s that reflects this very aesthetic. For someone bold enough to go with something truly non HGTV, these would be fantastic. Vintage 1930s WPA Rural Works Progress Industrial Depression Folk Art Oil Canvas

This WPA impressionistic landscape oil on canvas painting looks like it should be on the cover of Steinbeck’s novel, “The Grapes of Wrath”. It has so many elements of what one wants in a WPA painting…. The rural landscape pose, a deterioration, deprivation, contrasted with progress and survival. Don’t miss the chickens, telephone poles and even wires faint across the blue sky, and an old car sits below the barn or maybe even turned living quarters. Overall condition is good, not perfect at all. The painting has a very small tear on the barn, better seen on the reverse photo of canvas backside. And there are some paint flakes here and there, and tiny flakes along a slight canvas ripple heading off to the upper right corner. Once you get over those flaws, you stand back and can’t stop looking at it. Its flaws do not take away, it’s as if they add to it, and it has so much emotion to it. In the lower left corner, it looks like a signature, A K____. But I can’t decipher it with certainty. It looks like a well accomplished WPA painter, and I wish I could know who the artist is without any doubt. Measures 25 ” x 21 ” framed 20 ” x 16 ” unframed. This offering is for a wonderful Folk Art Bird Cage, possibly French. The cage is made of wood and wire and it retains its original blue green paint. The condition of both the cage and the paint surface are very good with some paint chipping and no obvious damage. It can be used for holding birds as intended or for décor. It has two tight wire doors, a wire swing at the top and an opening for a tray at the bottom. It is shown from all sides. The color has a little more green to it than shows up on my monitor.
