Depicts a family scene outside on the lawn with what appears to be three generations of family. Two couples are embracing and dancing. The children are seated in parlour chairs, the grandmother holding one child. The family dog plays with its toy on the floor. Above all this the scene above shows two birds, believed to depict lovebirds and harmony. Next to the birds faded to the right is a tree which is sketched but not painted; the tree full of the birds. Housed behind glass in a 1800s period plain wooden frame. Wonderful piece of folk art. Frame: 14 1/2 (x) 12 1/2 in. Sight: 11 3/8 (x) 9 1/4 in. The paper shows overall natural age toning. Small piece missing in upper right corner. Frame has not been cleaned or polished, and shows some light scratches. Also as described above, and as shown in the photos. Description & Condition: Up for sale is this antique circa 1900 miniature folk are painted wooden box. It is decorated on all sides with the top having two figures on horseback in a battle. The sides are decorated with figures with one holding a shield and the front with figures in a chariot. The back is decorated with a half sunburst. It is in very good all original condition and measures 5 1/2″ by 3 5/8″ by 2 5/8 tall. The cover with writing below the scene “Battachia di Rue Cavaleere”. (Battle of the Knights)? Jere nautical themed folk art piece. The whale is made of a heavy solid metal or lead. The board looks to be hand painted. Really a different style piece from the typical C. Jere works I’ve seen. Measurements 20″ tall x 14 1/8″ wide. It has a few small dings in the corners and some lighter wear from age. The green spacers were added to keep the whale from hitting the wood. Original Primitive Folk Art Painting Wood Panels English Fox Hunt Village Scene

These are lovely original wood panels painted and signed and dated 2003 on the back. The detail in these half moon shaped panels is incredible! Panel measure 29 inches long at the widest and 11 inches tall at it tallest. Solid wood panels 3/4 inch thick with routed edge and painted black on the back and edges. I had this hanging on the wall together for years. They can be hung over a doorway or double doorway. Painted in a folk art primitive deocrative style with amazing detail in the village scene. The colors are wonderful! One panel depicting an English countryside fox hunt, the other depicting a English/Early American village. These panels are the same size, they look different in the first photo only. Of the angle of the camera. I use oversize boxes, some items are double boxed, lots of peanuts, bubble wrap and packing paper. Boxes are packed solid to help prevent crushed boxes.
