Simons Painter March 1835. In the blacklight photographs you can see some professional inpainting to the left side of the ladies face. There also are three small patches covering small holes in the dark background near the edges. This authentic folk art painting comes in its original 28 ¼” by 30 ¾” painted wood frame. The paint is defiantly very old, but is most likely a repaint. There are no other problems or restorations to this original M. Simons, Portrait Oil Painting.
