19thC Antique American Folk Art Pastel Boating Painting Wavy Glass Lemon G Frame. Offered for sale is a 19th Century American Folk Art Pastel Painting. Frame; very wavy glass with striations, air bubbles and a lot of character. Men fishing in a boat on a stream. Pastel is in excellent condition, no damage noted and the colors are rich as if they were just painted. Frame measurements are 26″ wide, 20 1/2″ tall and is 1 1/2 thick. Original lemon gilt finish, notation of approx 4 areas of minor losses to gesso overlay, corner separations. Reframed into its original frame with new backing. Provenance: Salem, NJ collection, the previous owner was active in the towns historical society. Please review all of the photos as they are part of the description.
