This is a large, beautiful piece of fine original art by famed folk artist Paul Cleemput. This work is a large, 24×28 canvas framed to 30×36 image of the Titanic as it nears the iceburgs. This is a large framed painting signed in the lower right. There is no damage. This would be great in any public building, museum, bar or restaurant or in your den or office. A piece of outsider art bought in South Georgia. This particular masterpiece uses found objects from the woods of rural Georgia and old wood. This unique piece of art is titled a “Spooneriginal”. The front bottom right corner is signed BB SPOONER’83. The front is a picture of what looks like a cotton plant made with acorns and other pieces of nature. It’s placed on a rainbow painted canvas enclosed in a brown painted old found wood frame. The frame has holes from it being nailed in it’s prior use before being cut to make a frame. The frame has a small missing piece of wood on the left side at the bottom corner. This is a hand made piece and there are some small imperfections that are part of the artwork and some due to wear. Please look at the pictures for more details. The back of the picture has a description. Rural Ga piece of art made from all natural materials. Your work consists of bamboo vine, acorn hulls and pine tree bark. Framed with weathered wood and assembled by hand. No other like it exists. This picture measures 18″x12″. A woman holding a colorful fruit basket. This, along with the plight of the local farmers inspired Guevara to draw & construct ceramic figures as a boy. Today he continues to find inspiration in these themes & experiences. In all his work, Guevara portrays the intangible & often imperceptible aspects of life & nature. These overlooked elements, he contends, play vastly important roles in our everyday lives. It seems only natural that Guevara’s work is moving in an even more abstract direction. Guevara studied at La Academia de Arte de Costa Rica & he has exhibited all over his homeland, & New York, Barcelona, Rome, and Paris, among other international cities. Zuniga, born in 1958, now resides in Alajuela, Costa Rica. He has had his paintings in prestigous exhibitions and galleries all over the world. Plus has earned many awards for his colorful paintings. Mose Tolliver Hand Painted Signed Folk Art Blue Tico Bird/Dinosaur Wood 9×5
Hand Painted and signed by Mose Tolliver. Small enough size to make a great addition to any collection or to decorate your space. See my other Mose Tolliver paintings! Tolliver was born one of 12 children to sharecroppers Ike and Laney Tolliver[4] in the Pike Road community, near Montgomery, Alabama. His exact year of birth is unknown, though it is known he was born on the Fourth of July as well as between the years 1920-25. [4] He attended school only until the third grade due to a self-described lack of interest in education. In the 1930s, the family moved to Montgomery, Alabama where he helped support his parents and their large family by doing odd jobs. In the early 1940s he married his childhood friend, Willie Mae Thomas, and had 13 children, 11 of whom survived to adulthood. [4] During the late 1960s, while working at McLendon’s furniture factory, he had a severe injury where his legs were crushed when a half-ton load of marble shifted and fell from a forklift as he was sweeping in the furniture factory. After this incident, he turned to painting to combat boredom, pain and long hours of idle time. Although many say that his career started after the accident, Tolliver claims he painted beforehand. He would often turn his paintings upside-down and paint the picture of perhaps an animal and landscape positioned from various directions. Tolliver’s titles are wildly divergent; e. “Smoke Charlies, ” “Scopper Bugs, ” or “Jick Jack Suzy Satisfying her own Self”. On October 30, 2006, Tolliver died from pneumonia in Montgomery, Alabama.
